Ⅰ.教材分析

   本课是小学英语科普版六下Lesson 4 What did you do last Saturday? 这一课在一般现在时的基础上，学习过去时及过去式的用法，能熟练运用过去式描述过去做过什么事情，去过什么地方，买过什么东西。

Ⅱ.学情分析

   六年级的学生对于英语已经有了一定的英语功底，同时，前3课已经涉及到了一般过去时及部分单词的过去式，学生已经累积了一部分含有动词的短语，相对来说，说出过去时间点或时间段做什么事，理解起来不会很吃力，反而更有兴趣。

Ⅲ.Teaching Objectives

1.       knowledge objectives:

     ①To master the key words,phrases and sentences.

     ②To help students understand the differences between “present indefinite”and “the simple past tense”.

      ③To use the past tense to make some sentences skillfully.

      ④To use the key words to retell and demonstrate the meaning of each activity and the text.

To help students master the the listening skills and improve their oral English.Learn some important phrases with the past tense and expand their vocabulary.

3.       Moral objectives:

To guide students to know how to express the weather,characters and events in the past.

Step 1.Greetings

       Hello,everyone. How are you? Are you happy?

Step 2.Free talk

    ①What’s this?

    ②There are some informations on it.

    Q1:What’s the date today?

    Q2: What day is it today?

    Q3:What’s the weather like today?

    Q4: What was the date yesterday?

    Q5:What was the weather like yesterday?

    Q6: What was the weather like last Saturday?

    Q7:Did you ...last Saturday?   

Step 3. Lead-in  

    Use blackboard drawing to show the topic

The teacher introduced what she had done last 

     Saturday.Then asked all of the students “

     What did you do last Saturday?”

Step 4.New Presentation

1. Ask and answer

   Did you go swimming...?

   Did you ...?

2. Watch the video then answer the question.

   Q: Do you know what did the bear do on Saturday

      Afternoon?

3. Review the simple past tense.
4. Turn the verbs into the past tense and read them.
5. Use the past tense to ask and answer.

   T: What did you do ...?

   S: I ... .

6. Learn let’s talk

   ①Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.

   ②Read the text by yourself.

   ③Read the text again with some questions.
