We had been blessed with extremely lw daytime temperature.Pallas’s cats have the densest cat f any cat，but even s they must save their energy as much as pssible.Their mvements at these temperatures were especially seldm.While cnditins did nt lk prmising，we still needed t see if we culd actually film them.
The cats wuld nly appear if the sun was ut.But the steppe culd be hit at any time by fast and bitter winds which wuld make any animal that had decided t appear cme t an end.The decisin as t whether t hld ut fr the weather t pass r t have a rest was always a painful ne t make.
But as the weeks went n and we spent mre time with the cats，it was astnishing t see just hw it was that they were able t survive in such a difficult and unpleasant envirnment.The lnger we spent with them，the mre we fund urselves falling in lve with these attractive little characters and their winter lives.

Dunkirk is a successful Nlan film and，as usual，he blew me away with intelligence within each sht.Hwever，a surce f annyance in the film was chice t fill almst every scene with lud sunds all the way thrugh.That was especially annying when there was enugh backgrund nise t heighten the tensin.
While the sund left much t be desired，I fell in lve with the rest f the film.I was s absrbed in the stry that I t almst felt I was n the beach r escaping n ne f the small bats.Any sense f being blessed with a minute t relax is a false psitive because within secnds the stress will pick up again but even mre s.Pssibly the clsest I’ve been t cardiac arrest was watching a scene frm this film where the sldiers are attempting t plug bullet hles(塞住弹孔) in a bat in rder t keep it aflat and yet they knw they culd be hit by mre bullets cming thrugh the hull(船身) at any time.
The strytelling feels highly riginal t.We are presented with three different lcatins (the beach，the sea and the sky) frm which everything takes place.Each lcatin tells the stry ver a different perid f time s when all three meet we are treated t a visual masterpiece f a sinking bat frm three pints f view.
It’s difficult t judge the perfrmances because much emphasis(重点) is put n visuals rather than dialgue but Mark Rylance stands ut as Mr Dawsn，captain f ne f the small bats that cme t the sldiers’ rescue.The lks he gives his sn n the trip t Dunkirk shw s much abut the relatinship between the tw.The ther actr that stands ut is Harry Styles.Hwever，Styles had the “shwiest” rle and pulled it ff well cnsidering this was his first attempt at acting in a feature film.
