Unit 2 Colours

Comic strip and Welcome to the unit

一、教学目标

1. 掌握本课重点词汇：indigo, violet, rainbow, try on, look good on sb, in the sky

2. 掌握本课重点句型：

There’s nothing wrong with pink.

I’m not sure if it looks good on you.

Do you know how many colours there are in the rainbow?

3. 通过读、听，获取Eddie选择的衣服，以及Eddie和Hobo对颜色的看法的信息。

4. 介绍彩虹的颜色，并谈论与颜色相关的话题。

三、教学过程

Task 1

Step 1 Warming-up

Guide Ss to have a free talk activity.

Offer the following questions to ask Ss to talk about colours.

1. What colour do you know? Can you say them in English?

2 What’s your favourite colour?

3 What colour do you like to wear? Why?

【设计意图】通过回答问题和自由讨论，引入本单元话题，激活学生对颜色的看法。

Step 2 Presentation

1. Guide Ss to look at the pictures of Hobo and Eddie and predict what happened.

【设计意图】通过图片创设情境，启发学生思考颜色，明确本单元主题。

2. Guide Ss to read Comic strip and answer the following questions.

(1) Which colour does Eddie want to wear, pink or blue? Why?

(2) Why does Hobo laugh?

3. Guide Ss to complete the short passage according to the dialogue.
