Period Five　Writing—Writing an invitation

 本单元的写作目标是“写一封邀请信”。可以通过以下三个部分来进行写作：

第一部分：简要介绍。首先介绍作者的写信目的；

第二部分：是文章的主体。具体介绍邀请对方做什么；

第三部分：表达期盼和祝愿。

3．I’m writing to invite you to come to ...

4．The party starts at...so that we can have...

5．I sincerely hope that you can...

6．I’m looking forward to your attending.

7．My family and I are all looking forward to seeing you.

10．Please let me know your decision ahead of time.

假定你是李华，你们班的外教Mr Brown将于下周回美国，你和同学们打算为他举办一场派对，感谢他对大家进行辅导和帮助。请你用英语给Mr Brown写一封电子邮件，邀请他参加派对。内容主要包括：

1．派对的时间和地点；

2．活动的内容；

3．表达愿望。

注意：

 1．词数80左右；

 2．开头和结尾已给出，但不计入总词数；

 3．可以适当增加细节以使行文连贯。

审题

写作要求是写一封邀请信。写作时应注意下面几点：

1．确定文体：这是一封邀请信，写作中应注意邀请信的常规格式。

2．主体时态：文章应以一般将来时为主。

3．主体人称：由于是写一封邀请信，所以人称应该以第二人称为主。

谋篇

第一段：说明写信目的；

第二段：具体介绍这次派对的情况；

第三段：表达愿望。

连词成句

1．因为听说你下周要回美国，我们决定为您举行一个派对。

We will hold the party to thank you for your guidance and help during the past year.

3．派对上有不同种类的表演，你可以欣赏唱歌和舞蹈。

Performances of different kinds will be put on at the party and you can enjoy songs and dances at it.

句式升级

1．用非谓语动词改写句1

Hearing that you’re going back to America next week，we decided to hold a party for you.

2．用appreciation短语改写句2

We will hold the party in appreciation of your guidance and help during the past year.

3．用定语从句改写句3

Performances of different kinds will be put on at the party, where you can enjoy songs and dances.

用适当的过渡词语，把以上词汇和句式，再加上联想内容，组成一篇80词左右的英语短文。
