设计说明 首先通过复习青少年问题引入新课,通过一个学生的图片,呈现学生问题,同时呈现几个生词,然后根据不同的任务引导学生逐步理解课文,逐步通晓阅读的技巧,最后解决课文中的重要知识点,为更好地掌握课文扫清障碍。 教学目标 通过本课时的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词和短语: choice, but, awake, hardly, imagine, doubt, worth, suggestion, cause, strict, schoolwork, valuable, friendship, list, deal with, stay up, be worth doing sth., be strict with sb., stay out, work out, according to。 2.能力目标 (1)通过阅读,理解两个青少年的问题,并能提出建议。 (2)通过阅读,提高学生阅读的能力,逐步掌握阅读技巧。 3.情感目标 通过阅读,让学生了解青少年问题,并学会积极解决问题,培养良好的个人品质,健康成长。 重点难点 重点:掌握本课时的单词和短语,理解文章大意,掌握重要句型。 难点:掌握阅读理解中的预测技巧。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show a question. Ask: What are your problems? Ask them to list a lot of problems that a teenage may have. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show a picture of a girl. Present the new words and learn. She has too much homework to do, so she has to stay up late and can’t stay awake in class. 2. Check them if they can read the new words. Step 3 Reading Task 1 First reading—Skimming Ask them to read the passages quickly and find out the answers to the two questions: 1. How do they ask for help? 2. Who do they ask for help? Task 2 Second reading—Scanning Read the passages quickly and judge the sentences (T or F). 1. Millie and Simon are both Grade 9 students. 2. Millie has lots of housework to do every day. 3. Millie hopes to have a holiday to have more time for her hobbies. 4. Simon loves basketball. Answers: 1. T 2. F 3. T 4. F 5. Ask the students to finish B1 and check the answers. Answers:(7) advice (8) playing (9) important (10) strict (11)stay out (12) valuable Step 4 Language points 1. …I do not know how I should deal with it. ……我不知道该如何处理它。 deal (dealt, dealt) 动词, 意为“对付,处理”。 deal with sth.处理某事物 how to deal with 如何处理, 与what to do with意思相近。 I don’t know how to deal with the rubbish. = I don’t know what to do with the rubbish. 我不知道如何处理这些垃圾。 含with的短语: agree with赞同;持相同意见 begin with以……开始 be angry with对……感到生气;愤怒 come up with提出;想出(主意、回答等) fall in love with爱上 get along with与……相处 make friends with与……交朋友 2. …I have no choice but to do it. ……我别无选择, 只能去做。 (1) choice n. 选择 have no choice but to do sth. 别无选择, 只能做…… (2) choose (chose, chosen) v. 选择 choose to do sth. 选择做某事 Going to the seaside for the holiday will be a good choice. 去海边度假是一个很好的选择。 She chose to learn French. 她选择学法语。 Because he got up late, he had no choice but to take a taxi to work. 因为起床晚了, 他别无选择, 只能乘出租车去上班。 3. Then I sometimes find it hard to stay awake the next day. 然后有时候我发现第二天很难保持清醒。 (1) find it + adj. + to do 为固定结构,其中it 作形式宾语,其后的不定式是真正的宾语,可以改为宾语从句。 She finds it difficult to solve the problem. =She finds it is difficult to solve the problem. 类似的还有: I know it (is) important to finish all my homework on time. I believe it (is) important to develop our hobbies. (2) stay awake 保持清醒 stay用作连系动词,后跟形容词作表语。 We must exercise every day to stay healthy. 我们必须每天锻炼来保持健康。 4. I often doubt whether it is worth spending so much time on homework. 我常常怀疑花这么多时间在作业上是否值得。 (1) doubt v. 怀疑 在肯定句中一般接if/whether引导的从句;在否定句中接that引导的从句。 I doubt whether/if I can finish the work on time. 我怀疑自己能否按时完成这项工作。 I don’t doubt that he’ll come. 我确信他会来。 (2) be worth (doing) sth. 值得(做)……,后面接动词-ing形式或名词。 The museum is worth visiting/a visit. 这个博物馆值得参观。 The film is worth watching again. 这部电影值得再看一次。 Step 5 Homework 1.
