Althugh I had wanted t quit smking, I never made up my mind until New Year's Day last year. I was having a terrible headache. I knew it was time t quit.
Searching fr methds t quit smking n the Internet is like searching fr weight lss tips — there are thusands f different ways that are said t be the best, but nt all are right fr yu. One apprach that did draw my interest was apps. Alng with cigarettes (烟), my phne was the nly ther thing I culdn't leave my apartment withut.
There are hundreds f apps fr quitting smking. I dwnladed an app called QuitIt because it was said t be gd. It was free and didn't cst much time as sme thers. Yu input the amunt f cigarettes yu smke, the cst per pack and the time yu decide t quit smking. The app des the math and then gives yu infrmatin based n the infrmatin given by yu. It tracks the amunt f time since yu decided t quit, the mney yu've saved, and the danger yu've avided. The app als includes a number f health gals.
Quitting smking was ne f the hardest things I've ever had t d. Like mst stries f quitting, I did get a little sick and I felt terrible, but the mst difficult part was the empty feeling I was left with. Any time I felt like a cigarette, I wuld pen the app and track the prgress I had made. If I wanted t smke while I was n the cmputer, I'd immediately g t r/stpsmking t read a success stry, r t ffer supprt t smene else having a harder time than me.
I quit smking 1 year 2 mnths and 27 days ag. I did nt smke 6,771 cigarettes and saved $4,062.84.
