Teaching procedures 教学过程
Step 1 Have a free talk
T: Who always cook in your family?
S: My father/mother …
T: Can you cook?
S: No, I can’t.
Step2 Sound time
1. Listen and imitate
T: I like cooking, but I’m not good at cooking. There is a good way for me to learn? Please listen and find out. (教师播放录音) What is it?
S: A cookbook.
T: You’re right.
(学生听完录音后进行模仿;教师邀请学生朗读,看谁读得最好。)
2. Circle and find
(学生圈出单词中的字母组合oo,发现其读音为/u/;教师鼓励学生想出更多含有字母组合oo并且发音为/u/的单词;最后,学生完成有关字母组合oo的练习)

Step3 Cartoon time
T: Cooks cook nice food in the restaurant. And our grandparents and parents cook at home. (用PPT呈现一张图片的一部分) Look and guess: Who is cooking jiaozi in Bobby’s family?

T: (用PPT呈现整张图片) Look, Bobby’s mum is cooking. Now can you read the cartoon and discuss in pairs: Are Bobby and Tina happy? Why?
S1: They are happy because it’s Chinese New Year’s Eve. They can have jiaozi.
S2: They are happy because they get red packets after dinner.
S3: They are happy because on Chinese New Year’s Day they are going to see Aunt Alice in the morning and watch fireworks in the evening.

Exercise 1: Read the cartoon and judge if the sentences are true (T) or false (F):
1. Bobby eats some jiaozi before dinner. ( )

说课
设计本堂课时,主要有以下一些侧重点:
会话导入,引出主线。通过关于晚餐的日常对话,讨论会不会煮饭菜,从而引出主题。通过导入既引发了学生兴趣,又引出了cook这一课堂学习的主线。
自主探究,适当拓展。由cook为线索,通过任务引出Sound time的内容,并让学生自主找出字母组合oo的读音规律,以逐步发展学生的自主学习能力。通过拓展练习,提高学生的语音意识。
设问引题,以演增趣。由提问引出Cartoon time的内容,通过小组间的讨论、判断等方式让学生理解课文内容,并通过表演既让学生关注到语音语调和情感的表现,更让学生能感悟到课文内容的趣味性。
由学到用,提高能力。写日记的形式既检测了学生对于一般过去时和一般将来时的掌握程度,又为学生的自主讨论和写作提供了支架,为学生的写作好铺垫,更有利于学生的自主表现。
