The earliest simple computer, the Chinese abacus (算盘) dates back to thousands of years ago, consisting of rows of beads (珠子) on a wooden frame used for counting. You can do many things on a computer. When I started college, I moved to other city, away from my family and old friends. At that time, I was so shy to make new friends so I was very alone for a few weeks.
