[2021·威海模拟]Recently, researchers at the University of Toronto figured out a way with a quick video selfie to accurately measure blood pressure with your smartphone's camera by developing a technology known as transdermal optical imaging (TOI) (透皮光学成像).
Cameras on smartphones can catch red light reflected from hemoglobin (血红素) under our skin, which permits TOI to visualize and measure blood flow changes. Researchers measured the blood pressure of 1,328 Canadian and Chinese adults by getting twominute videos of their faces on an iPhone. “From the video got by the technology, you can see how the blood flows in different parts of the face and through this flow, you can get a lot of information,” said Kang Lee, lead author of the study.
Lee also helped create an app called Anura, which allows people to try out the TOI software for themselves, giving them the ability to record a 30second video of their face and receive measurements for stress levels and resting heart rate. Lee said more research was needed to make sure that the measurements were as accurate as possible, explaining that the study didn't test people with very dark or very fair skin.
“In order to improve our app to make it usable, particularly for people with hypertension (高血压),we need to collect a lot of data from them, which is very hard because a lot of them are already taking medicine,” Lee explained. “We cannot tell them not to take medicine, but from time to time, we get participants who don't take medicine so we can get hypertensive people this way.”
The scientists said there were many potential applications of the technology, including providing health services for those who lived in remote areas.
1.What is mainly talked about in Paragraph 2?
A.Information offered by TOI.
B.New findings on hypertension.
C.How TOI is put into smart phones.
D.How the TOI technology works.
2.What might people benefit from the new technology mentioned above?
A.Living a life free from stress.
B.Improving the heart function gradually.
C.Accessing health services for free.
D.Knowing abnormal blood pressure earlier.
3.What can be done for a better Anura?
A.Equipping phones with better cameras.
B.Allowing phones to record longer videos.
C.Collecting data from more diverse samples.
D.Persuading participants not to take medicine.
4.Why does the author write this text?
A.To predict future applications of TOI.
B.To introduce TOI and an app related.
C.To describe functions of cameras on phones.
D.To evaluate the quality of an app called Anura.

[2021·泰安模拟]Sara Savick remembers one special Easter when she was nine years old. Her parents gave her a baby duckling in a yellow basket.
“Mom said later that she bought the little duck because she felt sorry for it,” recalled Sara. The people at the pet store colored the feathers pink for Easter. Sara named the duck Pinky.
Sara's mother really didn't think the baby duck would survive very long. But to her surprise, Pinky grew and got stronger and stronger. Soon, the little duckling was a healthy, hungry duck with white feathers.
“We fed Pinky oatmeal, cooked and uncooked, and small pieces of vegetables,” said Sara. Pinky lived inside the house with Sara and her family. She specially fancied taking baths with Sara. Everyone treated Pinky as a family member.
But just when everything appeared to be perfect, the night of the “talk” came. Sara's Mom and Dad sat her down, explaining that the best thing for Pinky was to live a normal duck life, with other ducks. It was not natural for ducks to live indoors with a family, her father told her. He added Pinky needed to swim in ponds and do all the same things that ducks in the wild do.
Sara started to cry, knowing what was going to happen. Sara's parents decided to take Pinky to a park, which was two miles away. There was a pond with a lot of other ducks. Pinky would have the chance to live a natural life and Sara could still visit her.
The big day came, Sara and her parents put Pinky in a box and drove to the park. Sara said that Pinky did not look happy; maybe Pinky was convinced that she was a human, not a duck.

参考范文:
Everyone was sad when they left Pinky at the pond, even Sara's father. But he tried to convince Sara that Pinky was fine. Walking towards the car, Sara looked over her shoulder and saw Pinky standing alone. The other ducks were swimming around in circles, looking at Pinky. To Sara, it seemed that they were trying to identify the strange animal. They didn't recognize Pinky as a duck. Worried about Pinky, Sara dreamed of Pinky being bullied by other ducks the whole night.
The next morning, when looking out of the kitchen window, Sara couldn't believe her eyes! There was Pinky, happily walking around on the grass. Thrilled at what she saw, she kept asking herself, “How did she make it?” After all, it was two miles away and he managed to walk back through the city street. Incredible! But her parents drove Pinky back to the pond again regardless of her request. The following morning, there was Pinky again on the grass! Seeing Pinky again, her father, waving his arms about wildly, moved his lips without saying anything. Meanwhile, Sarah, overjoyed, hugged Pinky tightly, tears streaming down her cheeks.
