    动词-ing形式动词-ing形式在句中可作主语、宾语、表语、定语、宾语补足语、状语等成分。一、动词-ing形式的句法功能1.作主语Hearing hw thers react t the bk yu have just read creates an added pleasure.听别人对你刚读过的这本书的反应会带来额外的乐趣。It is wrth making an appintment befre yu g.去之前预约一下是值得的。
    2.作表语My jb is teaching yu English.我的工作是教你们英语。She remained standing when thers sat dwn.别人坐下的时候她还站着。3.作宾语It’s time I gt dwn t thinking abut that essay.我该认真思考一下那篇论文了。He tried t avid answering my questins.他试图对我的问题避而不答。
    4.作定语I have never seen a mre mving film.我没看过比这个更令人感动的电影了。The yung man sitting between Jhn and Mary is the editr f the campus newspaper.坐在约翰和玛丽之间的那个年轻人是校园报的编辑。5.作状语Whether we’ll g camping tmrrw depends n the weather.明天我们是否去野营取决于天气情况。
    6.作宾语补足语I saw him entering the bank.我看见他正向银行里走。They had the fire burning all night.(burn动作一直在进行)他们让火整夜烧着。
    二、动词-ing的变化形式1.动词-ing形式的一般式表示和谓语动词同时发生的动作,动词-ing形式的完成式表示发生在谓语动词之前的动作。Having made full preparatins,we are sure t be successful.做好了充分的准备,我们一定会成功。Having lived in England fr 10 years,he returned t his hmetwn.在英国生活了10年后,他回到了家乡。
    2.如果动词-ing形式和中心词有逻辑上的动宾关系,要用被动形式。The game being bradcasted is between China and Japan.正在播的是中国队和日本队的比赛。Having been shwn arund the lab,we were taken t the meeting-rm.领着参观了实验室后,我们被领到了会议室。
    三、动词-ing形式的否定式动词-ing形式的否定式是在前面加nt构成。Nt knwing hw t wrk ut the prblem,he went t his friend fr help.不知道如何做这道题,他向朋友求助。Nt having received an answer,I sent her anther email.没有收到回复,我又给她发了一封邮件。
    四、动词-ing形式的逻辑主语动词-ing形式前面有时可以加名词所有格、物主代词或人称代词宾格。D yu mind my pening the windw?你介意我打开窗子吗?Tm’s failing in the final exam made his parents wrried.汤姆期末考试不及格使得他父母很着急。Hw abut ging climbing at the weekend?周末去爬山怎么样?
    五、动词-ing形式作状语,其逻辑主语要和句子的主语保持一致。【误】Seeing frm the hill,the building lks very beautiful.【正】Seeing frm the hill,we can find the building very beautiful.【误】While having a bath,water leaked ver the side f the tub.【正】While having a bath,I saw water leaking ver the side f the tub.
    六、动词-ing形式作状语和状语从句的转换由befre,after,when,while,since引导的状语从句常常可转换为对应的-ing形式。After she graduated frm cllege,she fund a jb in a middle schl.→After graduating frm cllege,she fund a jb in a middle schl.When he was watching TV,he heard a knck at the dr.→When watching TV,he heard a knck at the dr.While he was crssing,he nearly hit by a car.→While crssing,he nearly hit by a car.
    七、动词-ing形式作前置定语时需要注意的两种情况1.表示被修饰的名词正在进行的动作或状态。Dn’t make s much nise.There is a sleeping baby there.不要发出那么大的声音,有个婴儿在那儿睡觉。D yu knw the swimming girl?你认识游泳的那个女孩吗?2.表示被修饰名词的性能。D yu ften g t the swimming pl?你常去游泳池吗?The sleeping car and restaurant car were cupled tgether.卧铺车厢和餐厅车厢连在一起。
