Step 1. Analysis of the student.

Review: In last lesson, we learned the Grammar: Comparative and Superlative --Adjectives and Adverbs. Ask some Ss to review, how to build Comparative and Superlative .
Step 2. Lead in.
Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
Do the duty report: a student on duty can say whatever he/she likes to say.
Come to “Think about It!”
Have you ever watched the Olympics on TV? What did you watch?
Do you think the Olympics are important? Why or why not?
Step 3. New lesson.
No. 1 prepare lessons before class.
Come to the vocabulary.
Teach the new words and phrases. Make sure the Ss can read it correctly.
No. 2Text:Give them some time to read the text themselves. Then let them act out the dialogue in groups. Correct their pronunciation when necessary.
Read and answer:
1. What is the difference between the ancient and modern Olympics ?
2. How often did the Olympics take place?
3. When did China host the 29th Olympics ?
4. What has not changed about the games ?
5. What would the ancient Greeks be amazed at ?
At last, the teacher explain the text in Chinese. Make sure the Ss can understand the meaning of text.
