教学过程
Step 1. Analysis of the student.
Homework check.
Review: In last lesson, we learned where the ancient Olympics began. And we knew When the ancient Olympics began. We learned that married women couldn’t even watch the games.
Step 2. Lead in.
1.Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
Do the duty report: a student on duty can say whatever he/she likes to say.
2.Come to “Think About It!”
Which mascot do you like best?
What do you think is the same in every Olympics?
Step 3. New lesson.
No. 1 prepare lessons before class.
Teach the new words and phrases. Make sure the Ss can read it correctly.
No. 2 Text: Give them some time to read the text themselves. Then let them act out the dialogue in groups. Correct their pronunciation when necessary.
Listen and answer:
1 What’s the Olympic motto ?
2 Is the Olympic slogan created by the host city ?
Read the lesson and answer the
questions:
1What does the Olympic symbol mean ?
2What does the torch mean ?
3 What has always been the same ?
At last, the teacher explain the text in Chinese. Make sure the Ss can understand the meaning of text.
