Step 1: Lead in
Begin the class with the lead-in questins:
What is a tsunami?
What causes it?
Will it cause great damage t humans?
Watch the vide and express yur ideas.
It is strngly recmmended that the teacher shuld ask students t discuss the tpic freely with their partners and brainstrm sme ideas cncerning the tpic. In this way, students can cme up with mre ideas and avid being nervus at the beginning f the class.
Step 2: Read t discver details cncerning hw t write a summary abut a news reprt
The teacher is expected t ask students t read a news reprt abut a tsunami silently and then request students t discuss the questins belw.
In this step, what shuld be highlighted is that the teacher ught t give students enugh time t read individually and think independently.
In this perid, the teacher uses when, what, why three questins t guide students t fcus n details f a news reprt.
