Many agree that it celebrates traditinal English farm life n hlidays. Mrris dancers wear traditinal cstumes. Usually, this is a white shirt, a bright jacket, a hat and small bells called "jingle bells". There are different styles f Mrris dancing frm different places arund England.
In Ctswld Mrris, the dancers usually carry white handkerchiefs (手绢) and sticks, which they hit as they dance. Each dance has six male dancers in Ctswld style, with a musician wh plays a pipe(管乐器) r a vilin.

New Yrk City in the United States has an unusual way f cleaning up its plluted Hudsn River: ysters(牡蛎).It is part f a plan t clear up the river by increasing the yster ppulatin. Oysters may help t make the waters clear again and bring back mre sea life. Hw d ysters d it?
Oysters act as natural "water purifiers". They are filter feeders(滤食性动物).That means they take in water thrugh their gills(腮) and filter ut the fd in it, such as algae(藻类), which they then eat. A single adult yster can filter up t 189 liters f water in a day. As they feed, ysters als filter ther harmful things ut f the water.
One f these is nitrgen(氮气), a chemical fund in septic tanks(化粪池).Smetimes nitrgen gets washed int rivers and ceans when it rains. T much nitrgen in the water causes much algae t grw. The algae uses up the xygen in the water, which can harm ther sea life. Oysters filter nitrgen ut f the water and use it t grw their shells.
Oysters als build reefs(珊瑚礁).They are imprtant t the whle sea system. Oysters attach(依附)themselves t hard surfaces under water like rcks. Then mre ysters attach themselves n tp f thse. As the ysters grw, their shells mix tgether t frm a reef.
Oyster reefs prvide hmes fr plants and animals. Reefs als help t prtect the shreline. Large reefs reduce the effect f waves cming in frm the cean, and help t reduce flding and prtect the cast.
