      Research has shwn that adults undervalue the influence f randm (随机的) acts f kindness. They dn’t think that kind actins will make t much f a difference. T find ut what kids wuld think f small acts f kindness, researchers Echelbarger and Epley did an experiment. In 2023, they published a study in the Jurnal f Experimental (实验的) Psychlgy, in which they described their experiment.
      The experiment tk place at the Griffin Museum f Science and Industry, in Chicag. Researchers spke with 101 kids wh were visiting the museum. And they gave each kid tw free, museum-branded pencils. The kids culd take bth pencils hme r they culd give ne f the pencils t a stranger.
      Befre giving away the pencil, the researchers asked the kids t guess hw “big” their act f kindness wuld be t the peple wh receive the gift. Wuld the persn be happy? Or wuld the gift feel like n big deal?
