althugh、until、s that、if引导的状语从句
状语从句在句中作状语,修饰主句中的动词、形容词或副词等。状语从句放在主句之前时,常用逗号与主句隔开;放在主句之后时,一般不用逗号。
Presentatin
一、althugh 引导的让步状语从句althugh作连词,意为“尽管;然而”,它引导让步状语从句描述的是一个与主句内容相对立或出乎意料的情况。可放在主句前,也可放在主句后,相当于thugh。Althugh it was raining, we still went hiking. 虽然下雨了,我们还是去远足了。He went t schl althugh he was sick. 尽管生病了,他还是去上学了。!注意:Althugh 和 but 永远不能同时出现在一个句子中!Althugh he is rich, but he is nt happy. (×)
二、 until 引导的时间状语从句until作连词,意为“直到……为止”,引导时间状语从句。它强调主句的动作或状态持续到从句所表示的时间点才结束或发生变化。1. 主句为肯定句:谓语动词必须是延续性动词(stay, wait, wrk, study, keep, be, sleep, read 等),表示这一动作或状态一直延续到until/till所表示的时间为止。I will wait fr yu until yu cme back. 我会一直等你,直到你回来。He wrked in the ffice until midnight. 他在办公室工作到半夜。2. 主句为否定句:谓语动词是非延续性动词(start, begin, cme, g, leave, arrive, pen, clse, finish 等),常用句式 nt… until…“直到……才……”。He didn’t g t bed until he finished his hmewrk. 他直到写完作业才睡觉。I didn’t leave the supermarket until it clsed. 我直到超市关门才离开。
3. 如果主句是一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时表示将来。He will stay here until the rain stps. 他会一直待在这里,直到雨停。The meeting wn’t start until everyne arrives. 会议要等到所有人到齐才开始。!注意:till不可以置于句首,而 until可以置于句首。 如果将“nt until…”放在句首,那么主句要用部分倒装结构。I will wait fr yu till yu cme back. (√)Till yu talk t him, yu wn’t knw his feelings.(×)Nt until he finished his hmewrk did he g t bed. 直到写完作业,他才睡觉。Nt until yu talk t him will yu knw hw he feels. 直到你和他谈,你才会知道他的感受。
三、s that 引导的目的状语从句1. s that意为“为了,以便”,引导目的状语从句,说明主句动作发生的目的或意图。一般放在主句后,且不用逗号隔开,相当于in rder that,从句谓语中多含有can、culd、may、might等情态动词。He studies hard s that he can get gd grades. 他努力学习是为了能取得好成绩。2. 时态呼应主句用一般现在时,从句常用 can / may / will。I save mney s that I can buy a new cmputer. 我攒钱是为了买一个新的电脑。主句用一般过去时,从句常用 culd / might / wuld。He wrked hard s that he culd pass the exam. 他努力学习是为了通过考试。
3. 当主、从句的主语一致时,从句可用 “s as t/in rder t + 动词原型”代替。He studies hard s that he can pass the exam. → He studies hard s as t pass the exam.四、s that 引导的结果状语从句s that 引导结果状语从句时,意为“因此,所以”,说明主句动作 / 状态带来的客观结果、后果,此时从句谓语中通常不含情态动词。The mvie was bring s that half f the audience was asleep. 这部电影太无聊了,所以一半的观众都睡着了。五、if 引导的条件状语从句if意为“如果”,引导条件状语从句时,遵循 “主将从现” 规则,即主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时。If it rains tmrrw, we will cancel the picnic. 如果明天下雨,我们将取消野餐。
