教学目标
通过本课时的学习,学生能够:
1.获取和梳理奥比斯的基本信息、工作模式、培训项目及救助成效等关键信息,形成对慈善组织的结构化认知;
2.运用语篇中描述慈善工作的词汇和表达,从组织使命、服务对象、工作方式等方面介绍国际慈善机构;
3.探讨慈善组织的重要意义,思考个人参与公益的可能性,培养社会责任意识,加深对全球性社会问题的关注与理解。
教学内容
教学重点:
1.理解访谈类语篇的文体特征(问答结构、访谈者与受访者角色)。
2.从采访中获取关于奥比斯的关键信息:成立目的、工作方式(飞行医院、培训)、面临的挑战。
3.掌握并运用与慈善、医疗援助相关的核心词汇。
教学难点:
1.理解“授人以渔”的深层含义在采访中的体现(如培训当地医生)。
2.从采访者的提问和医生的回答中推断情感态度和隐含信息。
3.将所学信息与实际生活联系,提出有意义的支持慈善的方式。
教学过程
Step 1: Lead-in
Activity 1:
Play the game “I describe, yu guess!”. Shw clues related t charity lgs (e.g., “It helps animals. Its lg is a panda.”) and have students guess the charity (WWF, Save the Children, etc.). End with Orbis.
Activity 2:
What can yu see in the lg?
Why is there an eye, a plane and an earth in the lg?
Design Intent:
T activate prir knwledge abut charities frm the previus lessn, create an engaging and interactive start, and smthly transitin int the fcus n Orbis.
Step 2: Pre-reading
Activity:
Ask: What d yu knw abut Orbis?
Why d yu think there are charities like Orbis?
Design Intent:
T activate students' prir knwledge and persnal understanding f the charity's purpse, creating a cntext fr the upcming reading. This helps bridge their existing ideas with the new infrmatin in the text and engages them emtinally with the theme f necessity and aid.
Step 3: While-reading
Activity 1:
Have the students lk at the article and ask:
What’s the genre (体裁) f the article?
Wh are the tw speakers in the interview?
Give students sme tips:
When interviewing smebdy, we shuld be well prepared with backgrund knwledge f the tpic. Remember t ask questins ne at a time and allw the interviewee time t think and respnd.
Design Intent:
T explicitly intrduce and analyze the interview genre. By identifying the speakers and discussing interview etiquette, students learn t recgnize the structure and purpse f this text type.
Activity 2:
Read fr Structure
Students quickly read t match each paragraph range (Lines 1-8, 9-22, 23-26, 27-34) with its main cntent (The situatin f eye prblems / The way Orbis helps / The wrk Dr Ma has dne / The supprt needed).

T help students grasp the verall structure f the interview and understand hw the cnversatin develps lgically.

Students read carefully t answer specific questins fr each sectin:
