The exercise perids tested were ne minute f walking after every 30 minutes f sitting, ne minute every 60 minutes, five minutes every 30 minutes, five minutes every 60 minutes, and n walking at all.
While sitting, the participants culd use their phnes r laptps, r read, and were given regular meals. Their bld pressure and bld sugar were checked regularly thrughut the study.
The researchers fund that any amunt f walking reduced bld pressure by 4-5mmHg cmpared t sitting all day — a significant reductin, as ideal bld pressure is usually cnsidered t be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg.
