教学目标
1. 获取和梳理格列佛意外来到小人国的起因和经历等信息,理解语篇的结构化知识。
2. 引导学生内化与故事情节发展有关的语言表达,并运用所学语言转述续说格列佛到小人国的经历。
3. 引导学生联系个人实际,在新的语境中创造性地解决问题,加深对主题意义的理解。
教学内容
教学重点:
1. 引导学生通过略读和扫读等阅读策略,理解故事的主要内容和事件发展顺序。
2. 引导学生内化与故事情节发展有关的语言表达,并运用所学语言转述续说格列佛到小人国的经历。
教学难点:
鼓励学生运用目标语言流畅地复述故事并表达个人观点。
教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in
Intrduce the nvel called Gulliver’s Travels, by Jnathan Swift.
Step 2. Pre-reading
Have students lk at the picture n page 51 and answer the tw questins n page 50 befre reading.
1. What d yu think the stry is abut frm the picture?
2. D yu like t read this kind f stry? Why r why nt?
Step 3. While-reading
Have students read the title, scan the stry and finish the table abut the stry.
Have students read the stry and fill in the blanks (structure).
Have students read paragraph 1-2 and answer the fllwing questins.
(1) Did Gulliver knw where he was when he wke up?
(2) Hw did Gulliver end up n the grass?
(3) Why culdn’t he mve?
Have students read paragraphs 3-5 and cmplete the table abut what Gulliver did t help himself ut and what the tiny men did t Gulliver.
Have students read the stry again and put sentences in the crrect rder (Part A n page 52).
Have students read the stry again and answer the fllwing questins (Part B n page 52).
(1) When did Gulliver wake up?
(2) Which parts f Gulliver’s bdy were tied t the grund?
(3) Gulliver saw a small man. Where was the man? Hw big was he?
(4) Hw d yu think Gulliver felt when he saw the small man?

7. Have students retell the stry f “Gulliver in Lilliput” accrding t the fllwing chart.
