（原创题）Archaelgists have discvered a rughly 13-kilmeter part f the remains f Qinzhida, a military rad built in the Qin Dynasty (221 BC-207 BC), in nrthwest China's Shaanxi Prvince.
The discvery was made during an archaelgical survey started in 2024 by the cultural relics prtectin research institute in Yulin City. The survey aimed t recrd where the ancient rad remains are lcated and what cnditin they are in nw.
Histrical recrds shw that Qinzhida was a very imprtant military rad built by the rder f Qinshihuang, the first emperr f the Qin Dynasty, wh united China fr the first time. This huge cnstructin prject played a majr rle in uniting and develping ancient China.

Recently, a research team frm Nanjing Agricultural University has rlled ut Xunzi, a large language mdel (LLM) and XunziChat in assciatin with Gulian, a leading ancient Chinese text publisher.
Wang Dngb, the leader f the research team, said that the large language mdel was named after Xunzi because Xunzi was nt nly a prminent Cnfucian philspher during the late Warring States Perid (475-221BC), but als a pineer in presenting and explaining theries f linguistics (语言学) in ancient China.
When asked why he and his partners made the large language mdel, Wang explained that “traditinal Chinese characters, vertical layut, the absence f pausing and punctuatin (句读) are all bstacles that readers have t vercme when they read traditinal texts”.
T create Xunzi the LLM, Wang and his partners first needed t d a lt f research. Since 2013, his team has wrked tirelessly t digitize Chinese classics like the Siku Quanshu, r the Cmplete Library in Fur Sectins. Finally their effrts seem t have paid ff. Nw Xunzi the LLM can tag (标记), translate, punctuate, and understand scraps (片段) f ancient Chinese texts. It can even d part-f-speech analysis and retrieve specific infrmatin, such as names, events, and places frm a text. With this LLM, ancient Chinese texts can be accessed by mre Chinese peple, including students. Thrugh Xunzi’s retrieval functin, users can get mre specific cultural infrmatin based n curtesy names. “The mdel can help us mine fr mre infrmatin hidden in ur cultural legacy and find unnticed mdels and cnnectins,” said Wang.
But Wang and his team dn’t simply fcus n target users in China. They are aiming at the rest f the wrld as well.
