I started t learn Chinese 50 years ag. It nly tk me nine mnths t learn this language well.
Here are my tips n hw t learn Chinese:
★Listen t Mandarin (普通话) as ften as Pssible
The first mnth r maybe tw, just fcus n listening. Start learning Chinese by paying attentin t listening. Just get used t the sunds.
★Spend time in Memrizing Characters (熟记汉字)
Once yu decide t study Chinese characters, wrk at them every day. Spend half an hur t an hur a day just n learning characters. Why every day? Because yu will frget the characters almst as quickly as yu learn them, s yu need t remember them again and again.
★Read as much as Pssible
Read a lt. I learned faster than my students 50 years ag, that’s because I read everything I culd get. I read much mre than ther students.
★Speak a lt and Dn’t Secnd Guess Yurself
When yu speak, dn’t secnd guess yurself n tnes (音调), r grammar f the language. Just let the mistakes pass. Every time yu use the language yu are practicing and getting used t it.
