Step 1 Warm-up
教师邀请学生分享所读过的英语童话故事,并给出几则安徒生童话的简介,让学生猜测故事名称,引入主题——安徒生的童话故事《冷杉树》。以下是童话故事的简介和对应的故事名称:
A sea princess falls in lve with a human prince. She gives up her vice t get legs and ges t live n land. Sadly, the prince marries smene else, and the sea princess turns int fam.—“The Little Mermaid”
A baby duck gets bullied by the ther ducklings because they think he is ugly. Hwever, when he grws up, he realizes he is a swan.—“The Ugly Duckling”
The ruler f a cuntry lves clthes. One day, tw men trick him t buy “magic clthes that stupid peple cannt see”. Everyne arund him praises him fr his clthes, and n ne wants t tell the ruler that he’s been tricked. In the end, a child pints ut that the ruler isn’t wearing any clthes.—“The Emperr’s New Clthes”
It is New Year’s Eve. A pr little girl is trying t sell matches n the street. Sadly, n ne wants t buy them. It is very cld, but she is afraid that her father will beat her, s she desn’t want t g hme. T stay warm, she lights the matches ne by ne and thinks abut her grandmther. When the last match is gne, the girl dies.—“The Little Match Girl”
Step 2 Thinking and sharing
教师向学生展示冷杉树的相关图片,并通过以下问题引导学生进行思考:

Step 3 Srting ut the stry

快速阅读并找出故事的三个主要场景,在笔记本上简单记录;
把故事情节与场景匹配;
再次阅读故事,捕捉描述冷杉树情感变化的单词或短语,记录在在笔记本上。
Level B (学生程度较好)
阅读故事,梳理冷杉树不同的生命阶段,填写以下表格。
Step 4 Sptting setting descriptins and the fir tree’s feelings
学生再次阅读故事并找出三个场景的细节描写,以及冷杉树在不同场景中的感受。

Deep in the frest grew a pretty little fir tree. The frest was a perfect hme fr many plants and animals, but the little fir tree was nt happy.
The sun shne, and the tree’s leaves fluttered in the sft air. Sme children played and laughed as they passed by. But the fir tree remained unhappy.

The next mrning, sme peple carried the fir tree ut f the rm and threw it int a dark crner f the attic.

The main theme f the fairy tale is that we shuld be grateful fr what we have. The fir tree didn’t realize hw lucky it was in the frest, and it didn’t value its yuth until it lst it.

学生以小组为单位,选择一个场景,把故事《冷杉树》改编为剧本。
