      II. Teaching Key Pints & Difficult Pints
      Key Pints
      Understand the stry cntent and its mral.
      Cmplete listening tasks accurately by grasping key infrmatin.
      Difficult Pints
      Deeply interpret the mral f the stry and relate it t real - life.
      Use effective listening strategies t deal with different types f infrmatin.
      III. Teaching Prcedures
      1. Lead - in (5 minutes)
      Activity: Shw sme pictures f friends’ interactins (e.g., studying tgether, playing sprts). Ask students t describe what they see and share their wn friendship experiences briefly.
      Purpse: Aruse students’ interest in the tpic and activate their prir knwledge abut friendship.
      2. Reading the Stry (10 minutes)
      Reading Task: Let students read “Tw friends and the bean” silently.
      Cmprehensin Questins:
      Ask students t answer questins 1 and 2: “What did the tw friends d when they saw the bear?” and “What can yu learn frm the stry?”.
      Have a class discussin: “D yu think the friend n the grund was really safe? What wuld yu d in such a situatin?”.
      Purpse: Imprve reading cmprehensin and guide students t think abut the essence f true friendship.
      3. Listening Practice (20 minutes)
      Task B1:
      Play the audi fr B1. Let students listen and tick the advice mentined.
      After listening, check the answers ne by ne. Fr each piece f advice, ask students t explain why it is helpful fr making friends, such as “Jining a club can help yu meet peple with the same interests.”
      Task B2:
      Play the audi fr B2. Students listen and cmplete the ntes.
      Teach listening strategies like predicting cntent befre listening, fcusing n key wrds (verbs, adjectives related t getting alng with friends).
      Check and crrect the answers tgether, emphasizing imprtant phrases like “Be a gd listener” and “Share funny stries”.
      Purpse: Enhance listening skills and learn practical methds fr making and maintaining friendships.
      4. Discussin (10 minutes)
      Grup Discussin: Organize students int grups f 4 - 5. Discuss: “Which f the advice frm B1 and B2 d yu think is the mst useful? Why?”.
      Class Sharing: Each grup sends a representative t share their views. Encurage students t express different pinins.
      Purpse: Develp students’ cmmunicatin and critical thinking skills.
      5. Summary and Hmewrk (5 minutes)
      Summary: Recap the mral f the stry, key listening pints abut making friends.
      Hmewrk:
      Write a shrt passage (abut 50 wrds) t summarize the stry “Tw friends and the bean”.
      Prepare fr the next class by thinking abut their best friends (fr D1 tasks).
