      英语有两种最基本的语调,即降调和升调。降调的基本意义是“肯定”和“完结”,通常用于陈述句、特殊疑问句、选择疑问句的后半部分、祈使句和感叹句等。升调的基本意义是“不确定”和“未完结”,可表示犹豫、怀疑、婉转、含蓄、试探等含义。升调通常用于一般疑问句、陈述句表示疑问的各类句子,以及表示意思未完的各种情况。升调可以用于说话者不能确定信息是否准确,需要对方核实的情况。例如:A: I’m putting the mixture int the ven. What temperature and time shuld I set?B: 160 degrees, 50 minutes. A: 160 degrees? 50 minutes? B: Exactly.
      在列举事物时,前面的各件事物都用升调,最后一件事物用降调。例如:The family enjy utdr activities such as muntain climbing, hiking, bating, and camping. 同一句话用不同语调表达时,意义也会有所不同。Be quiet. (表示命令)Be quiet. (表示善意的警告)I’m srry. (比较随意)I’m srry. (比较真诚)Yu will g t the party, wn’t yu? (说话人不太确定,提出问题让对方回答)Yu will g t the party, wn’t yu? (说话人比较确定,提出问题让对方确认)
      cmpare V. 比较;对比Scientists cmpared the results f bth experiments. 科学家把两次实验的结果进行了比较。
      1. cmpare peple and things 比较人和事物 (教材 P21)
      The teacher asked us t cmpare the first reprt with/t the secnd t find their similarities and differences.老师让我们比较第一份报告和第二份报告 ,找出它们的异同。

      比较级形 式:luder
      “响亮地;大声地”,常用在动词 talk、speak、shut、laugh 等后面。
      侧重表示“ 声音响亮 ”,常在句中作表语或定语。
      2. lud adv. 响亮地  adj.  大声的 (教材 P22 1a)
      由 “ lud ( adj.响 亮 的 ;大声的) +-ly( 副词后缀) ” 构 成 。强 调声音高 , 有时可与 lud 通用 , 但更具有 “ 喧闹 ” 的意味。
      “ 努力工作/学习 ”, hard是副词 , 意为“ 努力地 ”,修饰动词 wrk
      “ 工作努力的 ;勤奋的 ”,可作定语或表语
      “ 辛苦的工作 ”, hard是形容词 , 意为“辛苦的”,修饰不可数名词wrk
      3. hard-wrking adj. 勤奋的 (教材 P22 1a)
      【语境串记】The hard-wrking girl wrks hard , and because f her hard wrk , she gets gd grades every time.这个勤奋的女孩学习很努力, 由于很用功,她每次都能取得好成绩。
      4. I’m nt as utging as yu. 我不像你那么外向。as + 形容词或副词原形 + as(1) 表示两者在某一方面相同时,用“as + 形容词或副词原形 + as”的句型。例如:This apple is as sweet as that ne. 这个苹果和那个一样甜。Tm runs as fast as Jhn. 汤姆跑得和约翰一样快。(2) 表示一方在某一方面不及另一方时,用“nt as / s + 形容词或副词原形 + as”的句型。例如:This mvie is nt s interesting as the bk. 这部电影不如书有趣。He desn’t wrk as hard as his classmates. 他学习不如同学努力。
