I remember that it was a fall mrning when the rchestra (管弦乐队) teachers came int Miss Newell’s third-grade classrm. “Yu have hands fr the vila (中提琴),” Miss Cian tld me. I was excited because my hands were finally gd fr smething. I tld my parents I wanted t play, and naturally, they agreed.
Since I first tuched the vila, I haven’t been able t put it dwn. Ignring the difficulty, I am pulled clser t it each day.
Classical music is truly my best friend. It is the trusted friend f every man, wman and child. Varius feelings are expressed in classical music. I discvered that when I was eleven and played a cell cncert (大提琴协奏曲) f Bach in a cmpetitin, the first mvement was jyful, but the secnd mvement was mysterius and full f pain. Frm the piece, I learned that music expresses nt nly feelings, but als sudden md changes. By listening t classical music, I knw that smene else shares these feelings. Since I am lucky enugh t be able t play classical music, I am cmfrted by it when I am upset. It gives me a way t escape frm my prblems fr a shrt perid. Classical music can express my jy, sadness and anger.
Nw lk back at that fall day in the third grade and think hw gullible I was fr believing that anyne, even music teachers, culd tell whether hands were perfect fr a certain instrument. I’m certain they tld me I had “vila hands” nt because they were frtune-tellers, but because there was a lack f vilists in ur district.
根据第一段““Yu have hands fr the vila (中提琴),” Miss Cian tld me. I was excited because my hands were finally gd fr smething.(“你的手很适合拉中提琴,”齐亚诺小姐对我说。

根据划线词后文“fr believing that anyne, even music teachers, culd tell whether hands were perfect fr a certain instrument. I’m certain they tld me I had “vila hands” nt because they were frtune-tellers, but because there was a lack f vilists in ur district(因为相信任何人,甚至是音乐老师,都能分辨出某人的手是否适合弹奏某种乐器。 故选A项。
通读全文,尤其是根据第三段“Classical music is truly my best friend.(古典音乐是我最好的朋友)”和文章最后一句“If yu get intrduced t it in the right way, it will becme yur friend fr life.(如果你以正确的方式了解它,它将成为你终生的朋友)”可知,本文主要讲述了作者一个偶然的机会开始拉中提琴,从此古典音乐成了作者最好的朋友。

Fr the past week, I feel like I have been tested with varius examples f peple simply nt being nice. And sme peple were rude fr n apparent reasn.
【36题详解】前文“Thanks t glbalizatin, peple everywhere are intrducing their taste buds t dishes frm every crner f the wrld. (由于全球化,世界各地的人们都在让自己的味蕾尝试来自世界各地的菜肴)”描述人们尝试全球食物的趋势,后文“In the past few years, the number f peple purchasing lcal fds has been rising because it ffers a lt f benefits. (在过去的几年里,购买当地食物的人数一直在上升,因为它提供了很多好处)”说明当地食物也很受欢迎,因此D项“At the same time, ther peple are discvering that fd frm their area is the best.
【37题详解】前文“Imprted gds must be flwn r shipped in frm far away, s they naturally lse sme f their freshness during the jurney. (进口的货物必须从很远的地方空运或海运过来,所以它们在旅途中自然会失去一些新鲜感)”说明进口货物因为运输问题导致新鲜感流失,后文“These materials may cause the nutritinal value f these gds t decline during the shipping prcess. (这些材料在运输过程中可能会导致这些货物的营养价值下降)”进一步说明进口货物可能有营养价值下降的问题,因此G项“Imprted gds must als be packaged in plastic r ther cntainers t survive the jurney.
(今天各国关于食品的法律各不相同)”说明各国食品法不同的情况,后文“But when yu knw the lcal farmer wh grws yur fd, the chances f it being plluted are greatly reduced. (但是当你认识为你种植食物的当地的农民时,食物被污染的可能性就大大降低了)”说明本地食物被污染的可能性较低,因此F项“This causes cnfusin and makes it difficult t check if any harmful chemicals were used.
【39题详解】前文“Besides, if farmers can sell directly t cnsumers, they will earn mre mney fr their families. Additinal prfits als enable farmers t better care fr their sil and keep quality standards high. 故选A。
后文“This is an pen area where farmers sell fruits, vegetables, and meat directly t the public. (这是一个开放的区域,农民直接向公众出售水果、蔬菜和肉类)”描述了农民直接售卖食物的一个区域,因此E项“If yu’re interested in having mre lcal fds, yu can even attend a farmers’ market.
