Dzens f my middle schl classmates walked arund the statues in the Natinal Museum f Anthrplgy in Mexic City while the staff tried t teach us abut Mexic’s pre-Clumbian heritage. Attracted by the statues, I gt separated frm the grup, and fr a few minutes, all I culd hear was a respectful silence. Sn, a puzzling drum and flute filled the gallery’s emptiness, playing a piece f music I had never heard.
The rhythm (节奏) had me advancing tward it withut realizing what I was ding. Suddenly I was utside the museum. The spell was cut ff t search fr a familiar face, and there it was: the face f my classmate Antni. Als drawn by the music and curisity, he had wandered utside as well. I arrived at his side just in time t watch the perfrmance f “Ls Vladres de Papantla” (the Papantla Flyers) — a ceremny brn centuries ag t beg fr rain during drught.
It includes five peple climbing a very tall ple. One f the flyers remains atp the ple, playing a flute and drum, while the thers, tied t rpes at the tp f the ple, spin arund the ple, slwly ging dwn until they reach the grund. Each part f this ceremny is a symbl. The 4 flyers represent the 4 directins (Nrth, Suth, East, and West) and the 4 earth elements (earth, water, air, and fire). They spin 13 times arund the ple befre landing, representing the 52 weeks f the year (13 times arund the ple x 4 flyers=52).
Many years later, I was in Chlula, when I heard a flute and a drum inviting everyne in the city t see the ceremny. This time, I wasn’t lking fr a familiar face under the spell f an unknwn rhythm. Sitting next t him, I was taken back t my yuth, amazed by the flute, drum, and dancers flying abve. This, alng with the warm summer sun and Mexican candy n my face, made me feel like I was hme. I was cmpletely cntent.

Additinally, sme educatrs wrry that AI verusing might reduce key human interactin in the learning prcess.
The agreement amng researchers is that AI wrks best as an assistant rather than a replacement. A cmprehensive meta-analysis f 50 studies (Jhnsn et al.,2024) cncluded that blended learning — cmbining AI tls with human instructin — brings the highest student engagement and achievement levels. The reprt stresses that prper teacher training and clear mral guidelines are necessary fr successful applicatin.
