      Step 1. Review and Lead - in (5 minutes)
      Use PPT t display sme pictures f peple. Let students describe the differences between the peple using cmparative sentence patterns t review the vcabulary and sentence patterns learned in the previus lessn.
      Randmly select students and ask sme basic questins abut cmparatives, such as the frmatin rules f cmparatives and cmmn irregular changes, t check students' understanding.
      Step 2.Grammar Explanatin (10 minutes)
      Present the sentences in 3a and guide students t bserve the usage f cmparatives and superlatives, and summarize their structures and change rules.
      Fcus n explaining sme easily cnfused knwledge pints, such as the difference between the use f "mre" and "-er", and the situatin f dubling the final cnsnant and adding "-er" / "-est". Cnduct cmparative analysis thrugh examples t help students deepen their understanding.
      Let students d simple sentence - making exercises. Use cmparatives and superlatives t describe things arund them. Invite sme students t share their sentences and give feedback and guidance in a timely manner.
      Step 3. Reading Training (15 minutes)
      Skimming: Display the reading materials in 3c. Let students quickly skim the article and answer the questin "What is the main idea f the passage?" t cultivate students' ability t btain the main idea f the article.
      Intensive Reading: Read the article again. Let students read intensively with the questin "What are the specific differences between the tw things being cmpared?" Ask students t find the key infrmatin in the article and mark it. After reading, rganize students t have a grup discussin and share the infrmatin they fund. The teacher walks arund each grup and gives necessary guidance and help.
      Language Knwledge Learning: Cmbine the reading article t explain the key vcabulary and phrases in the article, such as "ppulatin", "area", "average", etc. Use examples t help students understand their usage. At the same time, guide students t pay attentin t the sentences using cmparatives and superlatives in the article and analyze their expressive effects.
      Step 4. Writing Practice (10 minutes)
      Writing Guidance: Based n the reading article and the cntent learned in this lessn, guide students t d a writing exercise. Give the writing tpic, such as "My Hmetwn and Anther City". Help students srt ut their writing ideas and list the writing pints, such as cmparisns in terms f gegraphical lcatin, ppulatin, envirnment, and characteristics.
      Student Writing: Let students write accrding t the pints they listed. Require them t use the learned vcabulary and sentence patterns f cmparatives and superlatives, and try t make the sentences smth and the expressin clear. The teacher walks arund t bserve students' writing situatins, gives timely guidance and help, and encurages students t express their ideas bldly.
      Presentatin and Evaluatin: Invite sme students t share their cmpsitins. Other students listen carefully and evaluate. Put frward suggestins frm aspects such as cntent integrity, language accuracy, grammar crrectness, and the use f cmparatives and superlatives. The teacher finally makes a summary evaluatin, affirms the students' advantages, pints ut the existing prblems, and gives the directin fr imprvement.
