Step 1 Lead - in (5 minutes)
Greet students warmly and have a simple daily cnversatin, such as "Hw are yu tday?" "What did yu d yesterday?" t create a relaxed classrm atmsphere.
Shw tw pictures f peple with bvius differences in height, hairstyle, persnality, etc. Guide students t bserve the pictures and ask, "What can yu see in the pictures? Hw are these tw peple different?" Encurage students t express their bservatins in simple English, leading t the theme f this lessn - cmparing the similarities and differences f peple and things.
Step 2. Vcabulary Learning (8 minutes)
Use PPT t display the vcabulary in 1a ne by ne, such as "utging", "shy", "lazy", "lud", etc. Lead students t read the wrds and crrect their prnunciatins. Help students understand the meanings f the wrds by shwing relevant pictures, actins, r expressins. Fr example, shw a picture f an utging persn wh likes t cmmunicate with thers t explain "utging"; make a quiet and shy expressin t explain "shy".
Distribute wrd cards. Let students wrk in pairs t practice reading and explaining the wrds. One student shws the card, and the ther reads the wrd and explains its meaning, and then they switch. The teacher walks arund each grup t check students' practice and give guidance and help in time.
Play the vcabulary game "Wrd Race". The teacher says the meaning f the wrd r makes crrespnding actins, and students quickly race t answer the wrd. Thrugh the game, stimulate students' learning interest and deepen their memry f vcabulary.
Step 3. Listening Practice (10 minutes)
Let students lk at the pictures and vcabulary in 1a. The teacher says, "Nw, let's listen t a cnversatin at the music club. Please listen carefully and cmplete the sentences in 1b." Play the recrding f 1b, and students listen and fill in the blanks.
After playing the recrding, invite students t share their answers. The teacher checks the answers and briefly explains the listening cntent t help students understand the key infrmatin in the listening material.
Play the recrding f 1b again, and let students fllw the reading, imitating the prnunciatin and intnatin in the recrding t get mre familiar with the listening cntent.
Step 4. Oral Practice (7 minutes)
The teacher sets an example: "Lk at Ella and Emma. Ella is shrter than Emma. Emma has lnger hair than Ella." Guide students t bserve the pictures and use the learned vcabulary and cmparative sentence patterns t describe the differences between Ella and Emma.
Let students wrk in pairs. Accrding t the pictures and vcabulary in 1a, practice cnversatins and describe the differences between the peple in the pictures t each ther. The teacher walks arund each grup, encurages students t speak actively, and crrects students' grammar mistakes and prnunciatin prblems in time.
Invite several pairs f students t shw their cnversatins. Other students listen carefully and give evaluatins. The evaluatin includes aspects such as accurate vcabulary use, crrect sentence patterns, and fluent expressins. The teacher summarizes and gives feedback n students' perfrmances, gives affirmatin and encuragement, and als puts frward imprvement suggestins.
Step 5. Prnunciatin Practice (5 minutes)
Play the prnunciatin practice audi. Display the phnetic symbl classificatin, such as /ɜː/ (term, persn, etc.), /ɪə/ (early, learn, etc.), etc. Let students fllw and imitate, paying attentin t the muth shape and tngue psitin f prnunciatin.
Play the audi again. Students fllw the reading, and the teacher emphasizes the rhythm and intnatin f the sentences. Invite individual students t imitate and read. The teacher crrects and guides t help students master the crrect prnunciatin skills.
Step 6. Listening and Oral Expansin (10 minutes)
Play the cnversatin recrding in 2a. Let students listen and think abut the questin: "Hw are Emma and Ella different?" After playing, invite students t answer the questin.
Play the recrding again. Students fllw the reading, imitating the prnunciatin and intnatin. Then let students wrk in pairs, read the cnversatin in rles, paying attentin t the prnunciatin, intnatin, and emtinal expressin.
Invite several pairs f students t shw their perfrmances. Other students listen carefully and evaluate. The teacher finally summarizes and gives feedback. Guide students t pay attentin t the use f cmparatives in the cnversatin and encurage students t use cmparative sentence patterns flexibly in real - life cmmunicatin.

Recite the key vcabulary learned in this class. Ask parents t sign t cnfirm, and there will be a wrd quiz the next day.
