Step 1 Warming - up and Review (5 minutes)
Greet students warmly and briefly ask abut their recent situatins.
Shw sme pictures thrugh PPT t quickly review the key wrds and phrases learned in the last lessn, such as "tk music lessns", "visited my grandparents", etc. Invite students t read and make sentences.
Randmly select students t have a dialgue using sentence patterns like "Where did yu g n hliday?" and "Did yu d anything interesting?" t review the key sentence patterns f the last lessn.
Step 2 Reading (15 minutes)
Pre - reading: Shw the pictures in 3c, guide students t bserve and ask: "What can yu see in the pictures? What d yu think happened in the stry?" Encurage students t make bld guesses and stimulate their reading interest.
While - reading
①Let students skim the article in 3c quickly and find ut the main cntent. Answer questins like "What was the weather like when the writer arrived at the twn?" and "What did the writer d in the htel?" t cultivate students' ability t quickly btain key infrmatin.
②Let students read the article intensively and cmplete the sentence - filling exercise in 3c. Guide students t pay attentin t detailed infrmatin and understand the lgical relatinship f the article.
③Read the article again and have grup discussins n questins such as "Why did the writer feel excited when he saw the duble rainbw?" and "What culd be the pssible ending f the stry?" Cultivate students' critical thinking and lgical reasning ability.
Pst - reading: Invite students t share their understanding and feelings abut the article, and encurage students t express different views. Then let students cntinue t write the stry based n the cntent f the article, using indefinite prnuns and giving full play t their imaginatin, s as t cultivate students' language applicatin ability and innvative thinking.
Step 3 Vcabulary in Use (10 minutes)
Shw the wrds in 2a, such as "hliday", "experience", "scenery", etc. Guide students t have a brainstrming, think f as many related phrases as pssible, such as "summer hliday", "winter hliday", "travel experience", etc., and write them n the blackbard.
Explain the wrds in 2b, such as "peace", "sick", "remind", etc. Help students understand the meanings and usages f the wrds thrugh examples like "This place is full f peace.", "I felt sick after eating t much." and "The pht reminds me f my childhd.".
Let students cmplete the sentence - filling exercise in 2b t cnslidate the usage f the learned wrds. Invite students t share the answers, explain and check the answers, and fcus n explaining students' mistakes.
Let students cmplete the clze exercise in 2c, using the crrect frms f the learned wrds t cmplete the passage. The teacher walks arund t bserve students' answering situatins and gives guidance in a timely manner. Invite students t share the answers and cnduct an verall analysis and explanatin f the passage.
Step 4 Listening and Discussin (10 minutes)
Listening: Shw the pictures in 1a, guide students t bserve and guess: "What places d yu think Vincent visited in Mscw?" Play the recrding f 1b. Let students listen and answer questins like "What places did Vincent visit?" and "Hw did he feel during the trip?" t cultivate students' listening cmprehensin ability and infrmatin extractin ability.
Discussin: Let students read the diary in 1b. Have grup discussins n questins such as "What can we learn frm Vincent's travel experience?" and "What are the similarities and differences between Vincent's hliday and yur wn hliday experiences?" Encurage students t share their pinins and experiences, and cultivate students' critical thinking and language expressin ability.
Summary: Invite representatives f each grup t share the discussin results. The teacher summarizes and supplements, guiding students t think abut the significance and value f traveling frm different perspectives.
Step 5 Writing (5 minutes)
Guide students t review their unfrgettable hliday experiences, and let students think abut the questins in 3b: "When did it happen?", "Where were yu?", "What did yu d?", "Hw did yu feel?" and "What did yu learn?".
Let students write a shrt passage t describe their unfrgettable hliday experiences accrding t their thinking, requiring the use f the learned vcabulary, sentence patterns and indefinite prnuns. The teacher walks arund t bserve students' writing situatins and gives guidance and help in a timely manner.
Invite several students t share their cmpsitins. Other students listen carefully and evaluate. The teacher finally summarizes and gives feedback, and puts frward revisin suggestins.
