    Teaching Prcedure
    Step1 Review
    shw students pictures abut prblems. Then ask students “What’s wrng ?” Student give the answer: I gt int a fight with my best friend. What shuld I d ? Teacher answers : Why dn’t yu …?
    Students make up the cnversatins accrding t the pictures.
    Step2 Present ther ways t give advice
    The teacher cmes t the frnt f a student and asks: Yu lk unhappy. What’s wrng with yu? The Student answer: I lst my keys. What shuld I d ? Teacher: yu shuld/ culd g t the schl lst and fund.
    Write dwn the patterns n the blackbard and teach students t read the sentence patterns.
    Ask the students t read the sentences tgether/ halves/grups., then read ne by ne.
    Step3 Practice
    Ask students t practice the cnversatin in grup t talk abut prblems and give advice like this:
    A: What’s wrng/the matter?
    B: I had a fight with my mther. What shuld I d?
    A:Yu shuld/ culd write him a letter.
    C: Why dn’t yu say srry t her?
    Step4 Listen
    Ask students t read the instructin in 2a s that they can knw hw t d it.
    Lk thrugh the sentences in 2a befre listening.
    Play the tape . Students listen and finish 2a then check the answers.
    Ask students t read the instructin in 2b s that they can knw hw t d it.
    Play the tape again, students listen again and finish 2b.
    Play the tape again, students read after the tape withut bks.
    Step5 Practice
    Ask students t make cnversatins between Peter and his friend, using the infrmatin in 2a and 2b.
    Step6 Ple- play
    students listen t the cnversatin in 2d and answer:
    What’s wrng with Kim?
    What advice des Dave give t Kim?
    Students read the cnversatin in pairs. Then try t rle play it.
    Act it ut in class.

    Make up a cnversin with yur partner , using the target language:
