    教学过程
    Step 1: Warm-Up
    Activity: Brainstrming
    Shw a vide f the Silk Rad n the screen.
    Ask students: “What d yu knw abut the Silk Rad? Have yu heard f Xi’an, Lanzhu, Dunhuang, r Kashi?”
    Encurage them t share simple sentences r key wrds they knw.
    (Purpse: Activate prir knwledge and build interest.)
    Step 2: Reading and Vcabulary
    Befre reading
    Students skim the email and chse what place will Jenny visit.
    While reading
    Activity 1
    Students read the email frm Jenny and answer the questins n the bk.
    ①Hw will Jenny and her classmates g t Lanzhu frm Xi’an?
    ②Where are the Mga Caves?
    ③What is special abut this trip?
    Activity 2 Vcabulary Review
    Ask students t underline the key destinatins and activities mentined in the email. Intrduce and explain the fllwing terms with visuals. Students repeat the wrds after the teacher.
    (Purpse: Enhance reading cmprehensin and expand vcabulary related t the tpic.)
    Activity 3 Timeline Cmpletin
    Distribute a blank timeline with key destinatins (Xi’an, Lanzhu, Dunhuang, Beijing). Students use the email cntent t fill in the activities fr each city.


    (Purpse: Imprve students’ ability t read fr details and integrate the whle text.)
    Pst reading
    After reading, students finish the exercise f page 3, which is related t the tpic.
    Step 3: Rle-Play
    Activity 1: Rle Play
    Distribute the incmplete cnversatin between Li Ming and his mum.
    In pairs, students cmplete the dialgue based n the email cntent. Example:
    Li Ming: “What will they see in Dunhuang?”
    Mum: “They will see the Mga Caves and the beautiful paintings.”
    Practice the dialgue in pairs.
    Activity 2 Silk Rad Adventure Rle-Play
    Create a scenari where students act as travelers and tur guides.
    Example dialgue:
    Traveler: “What will we d in Xi’an?”
    Tur Guide: “Yu will visit the Terra Ctta Warrirs and try Chinese fd.”
    Encurage a few pairs t perfrm their dialgues in frnt f the class.
    (Purpse: Enhance speaking skills and bst cnfidence in using English in real-life cntexts.)
    Step 4 Dig in
    Watch a vide abut traveling. After watching, discuss with the students abut the questin”What’s the meaning f travelling?”. Encurage students t speak it ut.
    (Purpse: Enhance speaking skills and try t guide students have a mre varius understanding abut lives. )

    Basic assignments:
    Find the expressins related t travel destinatins, means f transprtatin and plans in the text and srt them ut in yur ntebk
    Practical assignments:
    Use the wrds and phrases yu've learned t write a shrt passage f abut 100 wrds t describe a trip in yur dream. At least three knwledge pints learned in this class shuld be used, such as the simple future tense, "lk frward t", etc.
    Expansin assignments:
    Lk up infrmatin t learn abut tw ther famus scenic spts alng the Silk Rad, and be able t briefly intrduce their characteristics with the sentences yu've learned. Each intrductin f the scenic spts shuld be n less than 50 wrds.
