二、until、althugh与s that引导的状语从句
一、语法概述
在复合句中,用作状语的从句叫作状语从句。状语从句由从属连词引导,从属连词不充当句子成分,只起连接作用。根据状语从句表达的意思可分为时间、原因、条件、目的、结果和让步等类型。本单元主要学习until、althugh与s that引导的状语从句。
二、until引导的时间状语从句
肯定句中
表示“直到……为止”
主句谓语动词用延续性动词
否定句中
表示“直到……才……”
主句谓语动词用非延续性动词
Eg.I have t stay here until the rain stps. 我不得不待在这儿,直到雨停。
Cathy didn’t g hme until the rain stpped. 直到雨停了,凯茜才回家。
三、althugh引导的让步状语从句
althugh引导的让步状语从句一般翻译为“ 虽然;尽管 ”,一般情况下,althugh与thugh可以互换,但两者都不能与 but 同时出现在一个句子中,但可以和yet/still同时出现。
Eg.Althugh she’s very weak, she wrks very hard. 她尽管身体很弱,但是工作很努力。
四、s that引导的目的状语从句
s that表示“ 以便;为了 ”,从句中的谓语动词常与情态动词can/culd/may/might等连用。
Eg.He shuld talk t his friend s that he can say he’s srry. 他应该跟他的朋友谈谈,以便能向其道歉。
