Once upn a time, there was an ld man living in the village.
The queen is very beautiful.
He lked at himself in the mirrr.
My mther is the fairest.
He killed the snake.
He had fallen asleep n the sfa.

asleep意思是“睡着的”,是形容词,只能做表语。e.g. She is t tired and falls asleep at nce.
Snw White tasted the apple and then fell asleep. 白雪公主尝了苹果,然后陷入沉睡。
【拓展】sleepy是形容词,意思是“困倦的,想睡的”。sleeping是sleep的现在分词,意思是“睡着的”, 强调正在睡的状态。
