教材单元介绍：
U3 At the z这篇课文以动物园为场景展开对话内容，主要学习描述动物身形和肢体/五官特点的两个独立句式（Lk at XX. It’s XXX./ It has XXX）这篇课文还有一个 特特点：就是它在整个教学体系中首次出现了形容词类别的词 词汇以及包含形容词的两个重要的句式It’s+adj./It has + adj.phrase, 而这两个句式恰恰也是本篇课文需要重点学习的内容。
复习完本篇课文，学生可以在三年级基础上，介绍动物的种类，以及进一步描述它的身形特点，样貌特征。
教学设计：
这是一堂听说课，整体按照对话教学的一般方法设计：对话教学-拓展-巩固练习-朗读-角色扮演顺序进行。
Let’s talk对话采用听说课一般方法设计。巩固练习有两个，卡片是采用台湾佳音教学方法，另外一个是书上的Draw & Say
教学目标：
学完Let’s talk后，学生可以掌握与别人交流动物话题主要句型并且可以应用在draw and say的环节 （重点）
①Lk at that giraffe.
②Ww! It’s s tall!
③Ha! It’s shrt and fat!
学生可以掌握形容词的另外一种句型It’s +a+ adj+ 动物名词/a + adj +名词并且可以完成两道关于形容词的课堂练习。（难点）
教学重点：
掌握Let’s talk里的对话句型
教学难点：
掌握形容词另外一种句型It’s + adj+ 名词和形容词短语a + adj +名词

**教师先让学生整体听一遍对话，然后教里面的每一句话。主要教对话里出现的两个单词和三句话：
Giraffe & bear
Lk at that giraffe.
Ww! It’s s tall!
Ha! It’s shrt and fat.
顺序是先教单词再教句型。
教单词的时候，是提问的方式What animals can they see?把单词的单复数包含在回答里。而教Lk at that giraffe. Ww! It’s s tall!时候，是直接教学生认读这两句话，具体是怎么教的呢？先录音朗读一遍，老师跟读一遍. 单独认读完这两句话后，再合在一起认读整体Lk at the giraffe. It’s s tall.注意教学生认读要体现语音语调。教最后一句Ha! It’s shrt and fat!的时候也是通过提问Is the bear tall? 尽管问句和答句不完全匹配，但是考虑到学生学习程度，所以用该问句。
练习（拓展）
教师紧接上个环节最后教的句型Ha! It’s shrt and fat 开始进行过渡和拓展，从It’s + adj.and adj.过渡到 It’s +adj. 最后拓展到新的句型It’s + a + adj. +名词。并且通过展示不同动物（pig,panda,dg,cat）的照片来推进这个环节的教学过程。最后教师呈现一组动物照片和填空练习，形式是a+adj.+名词，形容词部分下划线，来引导学生回答。

巩固
句型训练
***句型练习的方法三个任务都是一样的，练习的时候，学生可能不能一遍很流利的念出来，老师可以让学生每张图片对应的句子多读几遍，读熟练之后，还可以让学生加快朗读句子速度，甚至可以出示卡片的速度也加快来训练的。所以这部分的练习可以做的时间比较长一点，以此来代替游戏，练习这种传统的方法。
任务①：句型训练 Lk at that giraffe/bear/mnkey/panda.
老师出示动物卡片（giraffe, bear, mnkey, panda），卡片上只是图片，没有单词。并且念出卡片上的单词，学生念出对应的句型Lk at that giraffe/bear/mnkey/panda

T: Lk at the picture. I say giraffe, yu say lk at that giraffe. Ok?
SS: Ok.
T: Giraffe.
SS: Lk at that giraffe.

老师出示任务1/2中单词卡片，卡片上只是图片，没有单词。并且念出卡片上的单词动物+描述，学生念出对应的句型Lk at that XXX. It’s XXX.

教师让学生拿出铅笔和白纸（铅笔和白纸需要学生自备）,然后先让学生自由绘画自己喜欢的动物，但是要求画的动物局限在学过的动物单词以及绘画尽量简单，然后让学生同桌两人一组按照课本24页Draw and say做对话操练。
句型模式： Lk at my XXX. It’s XXX.
朗读练习
教师播放Part A Let’s talk对话，先总体放一遍给学生听，然后再让学生自己读至少一遍。
**总体放一遍给学生听以后，可以接着放一句停一下，让学生跟读的形式；甚至也可以对话里的某个人物说的话被隐藏起来，让学生朗读。朗读不管是前面一种还是后面一种，都可以既是全班一起读，也可以让某个学生朗读。
这里教师可以自己调节进度，因为学生听完后直接自己朗读可能读不好，所以教师根据学生情况自由调节。
角色扮演任务
教师让学生分组（5-6个人一组），小组内成员自由组合角色(并且戴上头饰)扮演Miss.White, Amy, Zhang Peng朗读课文对话
课堂练习
教师让学生拿出作业本（学生需要自己准备），完成课堂练习。
Amy从图书馆借来了一本介绍动物的绘本，请将绘本里的图片和句子做匹配。
