Milan Kundera, the sn f a famus cncert pianist and musiclgist, was brn n April 1, 1929. Brn, Czechslvakia (nw in Czech Republic). The yung Kundera studied music but gradually turned t writing, and he began teaching literature at the Academy f Music and Dramatic Arts in Prague in 1952.
