He will invite some friends to his party. Here are some invitations. Let’s see what will happen.Free talk. Give a picture about party and let Ss talk about: If you want to invite your friends to your birthday party, what should you say?在Rick的活动中体会邀请的表达和回复。说说你怎么样邀请朋友参加聚会。通过情景创设引入话题—邀请。所设情景生动贴近真实，激发学生的兴趣。通过自由讨论，进一步活跃课堂气氛。Step 2Pre-listeningT shows the picture on activity 1a, makes Ss predict that how to make an invitation(发出邀请)/accept the invitation politely(礼貌地接受邀请)/ decline the invitation politely (委婉地拒绝邀请）T asks Ss to look through the picture again and try to answer the questions: Can he/she come to the party on Saturday afternoon? Why or why not? T lets Ss match the phrases with the pictures (a-e). Then asks Ss to practice with partner. T shows the pictures in Activity 2a and leads Ss to predict: Anna is going to have a party on Saturday, too. She invites her friends Jeff, Mary, May, Mei Ling and Paul to come. Can they come to party?T asks Ss to focus on the picture in Activity 2a and reminds Ss to identify the name of the person being invited in each conversation. T plays the recording and asks Ss to listen and complete the chart in Activity 2a. Then checks the answers.Go through 2b, T lets Ss listen again and encourages Ss to take notes.
