本模块以家庭为话题,以家庭介绍为任务,训练have / has gt 句型的使用,并介绍了英语写作时应注意的标点符号问题。通过对本模块内容的学习学生能够了解不同国家家庭结构的不同。值得一提的是,班内可能会有单亲家庭,教师在授课时应注意该问题,在不伤害学生自尊心的同时注意培养学生的移情能力。
Unit 1 通过听、读、说训练,初步学习询问对方家庭情况和介绍自己的家庭成员。其中活动1 要求学生将适当的词汇和人物联系起来。活动有一定难度,教师可提醒学生注意利用图中所看到的有用信息。活动2训练学生从听力材料中听出father,mther,sister,grandfather等词汇。活动3、4要求学生听对话并完成填词任务,活动6要求根据提示口头练习询问及介绍家庭情况。

Give students sme schl things such as bks, pens, ntebks, ask students wh get ne, using have gt.
T: What have yu gt?
S: I have gt a blue pen.
S: I have gt an English bk.
Shw the fllwing.
have / has gt = have / has
have gt 表示“某人有…”常用在英国英语中,美国朋友则常用 have 来表达这一意义。如:
I have gt tw pencils. / I have tw pencils.
应该注意的是在 have gt中, have是助动词,没有实际意义,而美国英语中的have则表达实际意义“有”。两个have形同但意义不同。
Then ask students t g n practicing the questin frm f have / has gt and the way f answering the questins.
T: Has he gt a green pen?
S: N, he hasn’t.
T: Has she gt an English bk?
S: Yes, she has.
Step II Label Tny’s family(15分钟)
Divide students int grups f five r six. Play a little game t get the students familiar with the expressins f the family members. The grup which can answer best will be the winner.
T: Wh is yur father’s father?
S: My grandfather.
T: Wh is yur father’s brther?
S: My uncle.
T: My mther has gt a sister, what shuld I call her?
S: Aunt.
T: Wh are my mther’s parents?
S: Grandparents.
Write dwn the fllwing and make sure that students knw what they all mean. Then wrk in pairs t cmplete the labels.

T: OK, class. Tny has gt a big family. There are many peple in his family. He has gt grandparents, uncles, an aunt and a sister. Lk, here is a pht f his family in the bk. D yu knw wh they are? Yu can have a discussin and cmplete it.
Call back the answers frm sme pair. Encurage students t use the knwn prepsitinal wrds r phrases: next t / in frnt f / behind, etc.
Pssible answers:
The girl next t Tny is his sister.
The wmen behind them are his aunt and his mther.
The man next t his mther is his father.
Then play the tape recrding fr students, let them check their answers.
Step III Listening(10分钟)
In this part, students will listen t the tape recrding twice and finish Activity 4 first. Then repeat the cnversatin.
T: As we knw, Tny has gt a big family. D yu knw hw many peple there are in his family?
S: There are eleven peple in his family.
T: Gd, d yu knw wh they are?
S: His grandparents, parents, uncles, his aunt and his sister.
T: D yu knw hw t write these wrds?
S: Sure.
Check if the students can write these wrds dwn.
T: Very gd. Let’s listen t a cnversatin between Lingling and Tny. Listen and fill in the blanks in activity 4. By the way, has Tny gt any brthers?
S: N, he hasn’t gt any brthers.
Play the recrding twice. Then check the answers.
After this, ask students t repeat after the recrding.
Step IV Pair wrk (9分钟)
Ask students t practice the cnversatin and make their wn cnversatins.
T: Frm the cnversatin, we knw Tny has gt ne aunt and tw uncles. Have yu gt any aunts r uncles? Have yur gt any brthers r sisters? Nw wrk in pairs and practice asking and answering questins abut yur family. Yu can make yur wn cnversatins.
A sample cnversatin:
S1: Hw many peple are there in yur family?
S2: There are three—my father, my mther and me. I haven’t gt any brthers r sisters.-
S1: Have yu gt any aunts r uncles?
S2: My father has gt a brther and a sister. My mther has gt a sister, but she hasn’t gt a brther. S I have gt ne uncle and tw aunts. And I have gt three grandparents.
Step V Hmewrk(1分钟)
Ask students t learn the new wrds and expressins in this unit (n page 129).
Ask students t write smething abut their families.

S: Grandma and grandpa.

Then ask students t talk abut their families.

Ask students t write an email as an answer t Lingling’s email. Then chse sme wrk that has punctuatin mistakes t ask students t crrect.
T: Suppse yu are Diana; write an answering email t Lingling t tell her smething abut yur family. Pay attentin t yur spelling and punctuatin.

I am happy t see yur email.
