【第一课时】
【教学目标】
1.知识目标:
(1)通过Look and learn及Listen and say学习单元核心词汇。
(2)通过Listen and say的情景对话,帮助学生复习相关句型,谈论彼此身高体重和课余生活的对话。
2.能力目标:
(1)能听懂、会说、会读和会写单词和句型:weigh, kilogram, centimeter, fan, theatre, go fishing
(2)能够用英语描述身高、体重等。能够简单地说一说自己的生活。
3.情感目标:
通过对比过去和现在的变化,更加热爱生活。
【教学重点】
1.词汇:weigh, kilogram, centimeter, fan, theatre, go fishing
2.句型:
(1)I'm 150 centimeters tall.
(2)I usually play football after school.
3.日常用语:
(1)How exciting!
(2)That's fantastic!

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.询问学生每天放学后的活动。
T: What do you usually do after school?
S1: I usually read books and listen to music.
S2: I usually ride a bike.
…
2.把学生分成四人小组,请每位学生讲述自己每天早晨,中午和晚上做的事情。
S1: I get up at seven o'clock in the morning. I brush my teeth and wash my face. Then I go to school. I eat lunch at school. In the evening. I always do my homework and read newspapers.
II. While-task procedures
1.在黑板上写下“170”,让学生用英文快速读出数字。根据学生的回答引出句型:I'm 170 centimeters tall. How tall are you?
T: (write 170 on the blackboard) What number is it?
S1: It's one hundred and seventy.
T: One hundred and seventy. I am one hundred and seventy centimeters tall (show your height and weight centimeter on the blackboard.)
2.请学生跟读centimeter,然后请学生说出自己的身高。
T: How tall are you?
S1: I am one hundred and fifty-nine centimeters tall.
T: How tall are you?
S2: I am one hundred and sixty-two centimeters tall.
3.教师顺着上述活动中最近一个学生话语引出句型:I am fifty-nine kilograms. How much do you weigh?
T: I know you are one hundred and sixty-two centimeters tall. But how tall am I? Do you remember?
S1: You are one hundred and seventy centimeters tall.
T: That's right. And I weigh fifty-nine kilograms. (write kilogram and weigh on the black board)
4.请学生跟读kilogram,然后请学生说出自己的体重。
T: How much do you weigh?
S1: I weigh forty-two kilograms.
T: How much do you weigh?
S2: I weigh thirty-seven kilograms.
5.出示Listen and say的图片,播放录音,学生边听边看图片。再次播放录音,教师板书对话中出现的生词taller,帮助学生理解词义。
T: (write taller on the blackboard and ask a student to stand beside the teacher)
Look at … he's one hundred and fifty centimeters tall. I am one hundred and seventy centimeters tall. So I am taller.
6.然后分别请两个高矮不一的学生站起来,教师问:Who is taller? 请全班学生回答:… is taller
7.播放对话录音,请学生逐句跟读,鼓励学生模仿录音中人物的语音语调。
8.教师读出反馈练习中的句子,请学生快速判断所描述的是Joe还是George的角色,有感情地朗读对话。教师在教室内来回巡视,如果学生有困难,及时给予帮助。
III. Post-task activities.
1.调查活动。请学生调查两个同学,把他们的身高体重记录在表格中。

S2: I am one hundred and forty-six centimeters tall. (S1 writes 146 in the table)
S1: How much do you weigh?
S2: I weigh forty kilograms. (S1 writes 40 in the table)
2.请学生在全班面前汇报自己的调查结果。
S1: S1 is 158 centimeters tall. S2 is 160 centimeters tall. S1 weighs 43 kilograms, S2 weighs 46 kilograms.
3.请学生为自己制作小卡片。让学生两人一组互相介绍一下自己。卡片可保留作为游戏道具,强可以让学生将卡片混在一起,任意挑选一张卡片,说出卡片上除了姓名之外的信息,其他学生猜猜这是谁。
