    This lesson introduces the world-renowned ruins of Stonehenge, enriching students' knowledge in cultural heritage. Understood the symbols and significance of cultural relics such as Stonehenge, as well as their impact on human life. Educate students to pay attention to and protect social and cultural heritage. Attempt to use scientific knowledge to explain and explain problems, stimulate students' curiosity and exploration ability in unknown fields.

    阅读训练(Reading)

    Before reading

    1. Get students enjoy a short video and introduce the topic we will learned this lesson.
    2. Get students to share information with others about the Stonehenge.

    Fast reading

    1. Get students to scan the title and the first sentences of each passage and try to choose the best title.
    2. Simple explain and check the answer.
    3. Play the tapes for students to read after the them and match the main ideas of each paragraph on the blackboard.
    1. Check the answers one by one.
    2. Introduce the basic layout of the text (total score) and have students try to draw a schematic diagram of the branch structure.
    3. Check the answers and explain.

    Detail reading

    1. Get students to read the first paragraph carefully and try to find the answers to the questions on the blackboard.
    2. Explain this paragraph clearly and help students to underline the relative sentences to answer the questions.
    3. Simply explain the relationship between sunshine and the stones.
    4. To show a table about the second paragraph and get students fill in the blanks by reading  paragraph.
    5. Ask several students to show their answers.Explain in detail.
    6. To show a table about the third paragraph and get students fill in the blanks by reading  paragraph.
    7. Explain the sentences in detail and check the answers together.
    8. To show three questions about the last paragraph and get students read it quickly and find the answers.

    Post reading

    1. Get students to skim the whole passage quickly and find the answers in 2b.
    2. Check the answers together and underline some relative sentences.

    1. Get students to read the passage again and fill in the chart in 2c.
    2. Ask students to circle the linking words or phrases.
    3. Explain the usage of linking words.
    4. To show a chart and match the meanings with the words.
