Teaching procedures

Step1. Warm-up

   ① Greetings

     Good morning, class. Nice to meet you. Today let’s learn Unitt6 Do you like bananas? Section B 1a-1e.

   ② Let's sing a song

Step2. Review

   ① Here is a big and beautiful bag, and here are some delicious fruit and vegetables in it. Can you guess what they are? For example, you can guess like this: I think here is an apple. OK, let's have a try.

      S1: I think here is an apple.

      T: Yeah, an apple. I like apples. Do you like apples?

      S1: Yes , I do.

      T: Yes , he likes apples. Class, does he like apples? Yes, he does. He likes                      apples. apple-apples (repeat three times)

Now, let's go on. Who can guess again.

      S2: I think here is a pear.

      T: Yeah, a pear. I like pears. How about you? Do you like pears?

      S2:Yes, I like pears, too.

      T: Does she like pears?

      Ss: Yes, she does.

      T: She likes pears. pear-pears (three times)

   ② After the students say the words. Then see the PPT. And make the chart in two parts. On the left are fruits, on the right are vegetables. Lead to read.

   Step3. Practice

     Look at the chart. Let's do it in three like this. Then ask two students to make the short conversation with me.

      T: Do you like apples?

      S1: Yes, I do. I like apples./ No, I don't. I don’t like apples.

      T: Does he/she like.....?

      S2: Yes, he/she does. He/She likes......

         No, he/she doesn't. He/She doesn't like.....

 Let Ss have two minutes to practice, then ask two or three groups to act.

Step4: Lead-in.

    1.①1a. You know many fruit and vegetables, but can you match the words with pictures?

     ②1b. Play a game. Some students are in Group A, some students are in Group B. I ask students to write words on the blackboard.  Who write more and who are the winners.(one student just write one word )

     ③After the game, encourage the winners and congratulate to them(clap hands)

    2.① OK, for dinner, I like rice, apples, chicken. How about you? What do you like for dinner.?

     ②breakfast /e/ (lead to read three times then ask again)

    T: What do you like for breakfast?

      (ask Ss to answer the questions)

    S1: I like .......... for breakfast.

    lunch /ʌ/ (lead to read three times, then ask again)

   T: what do you like for lunch?

     (ask Ss to answer the questions)

    S1: I like .......... for lunch.

After this step. Lead to read the sentences.

    I like .......... for breakfast.

    He likes .......... for lunch.

    She likes........... for dinner.

Step5. Listening

    ①1st time( Activity 1c)

     T: OK, let's listen to the tape. Please circle the words you hear in 1a.

    ②2nd time(Activity 1e)

      If Tom/Sally likes them please draw √, if Tom/Sally doesn’t like them please draw ×

        Then check the answers like this :

 eg: A: Does Tom like carrots?

    B: Yes, he does./ No, he doesn't.

    ③3rd time (Activity 1d)

    T: You are very clever. But we have another thing to do . Listen again, and fill in the chart.

④Look at the practice and try to retell the form.

  eg: Tom likes … and …，but he doesn’t like  ….

     Sally likes … and …，but she doesn’t like …

Step6.Role play the conversation. Then ask students to act this conversation.

Step7. Consolidation.

     T: You have done very well. I think you're very clever. So let's have a short test, OK?
