    Lesson 10: Clothes for a Cold Day

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标:

    1. 知识目标

    掌握单词:catch, ready, T-shirt, jacket, forget, hat, so, bright

    接触单词:dinosaur, pants, colourful

    短语:catch a cold, (be) ready for…, go back, put on, go well with, take… all out of

    2. 能力目标

    (1)进一步学习有关衣服与颜色的表达;

    (2)能用英语描述衣服与天气的关系。

    3. 情感目标

    学会根据天气状况更换合适的衣物,确保身体健康。

    1. 重点:(1) 掌握本课节重点单词和短语;

    (2) 进一步学习有关衣服与颜色的表达

    2. 难点:能用英语描述衣服与天气的关系

    PPT 课件;课文及听力练习的录音。

    教学过程

    Step 1  Warming up

    1. Homework check.

    2. Show the pictures to the class. And review the clothes, colours and sentences What colour is it/are they?, Is it/Are they your…? Whose…is it/are they? by the conversation.

              

    A: Look at the scarf/…

    What colour is it/are they?

    B: It’s/They’re…

    A: Is it/Are they your scarf/…?

    B: No, it isn’t/they aren’t.

    It’s/They’re too long/…for me.

    A: Whose scarf/… is it/are they?

    B: Maybe it’s/they’re...

    Step 2  Presentation

    Show the pictures and teach the new words T-shirt, jacket, hat, pants,colourful, so, bright and phrase take…all out of by discussing them with the class.

                    

          T-shirt       jacket         hat            pants

    /ˈtiː ʃɜːt/       /ˈdʒækɪt/        /hæt/           /pænts/

    n.短袖汗衫   n. 夹克;上衣   n.帽子(有边)  n. 裤子

    Discuss like this:

    T: What’s this?/What are these?

    Ss: …(学生用汉语回答)

    T: What colour is it/are they?

    Ss: It’s/They’re …

    T: When can we wear it/them?

    Ss: On a hot/cold day.

    Step 3  Practice

    1. Show the pictures to the class and get the class to practice the conversation:

     

    A: What’s this?/What’re these?

    B: It’s/They’re…

    A: What colour is it/are they?

    B:It’s/They’re …

    A: When can we wear it/them?

    B: On a hot/cold day.

     

    2. Check them.

    Step 4  Listening and answering(Part 2)

    Play the recording for the class to listen and answer the following questions.

    1. How many clothes can you hear?

    2. How many colours can you hear?

    Answers: 1. Eight.  2. Four.

    Step 5  Listening and chanting

    Play the recording again and ask the class to listen and chant following the recording together.

    Step 6  Presentation

    1. Show the pictures to the class, teach the new words and phrases by discussing the pictures and answering the questions.

    (1) What clothes does Danny wear in the picture?

    (2)What color are his clothes?

    Answers: (1) A cap, a T-shirt, shorts and shoes.

            (2) The cap is red. The T-shirt is green. The shorts are black. The shoes are blue.

          

    (1)What clothes does Danny wear?

    (2) What color is his jacket?

    (3)Why does Danny go back and put on jacket?

    (4)Does Danny’s jacket go well with his shorts?

     

    Answers: (1) A cap, a jacket, shorts and shoes.

    (2) It’s orange.

    (3) Because it’s cold today. He may catch a cold.

    (4) No, it doesn’t.

    2. Get the class to read the new words and phrases and remember them.

    Step 7  Listening and circling

    Play the recording and get the class to circle the correct pictures.

     

     

     

    Answers: The first and the fourth picture.

    Step 8  Reading and answering

    Get the class to read the conversation in Part 1 and answer the questions in Let’s Do It! No. 2.

    1. How is the weather?

    2. Does Danny like to wear shorts or pants?

    3. What does Danny finally(最后) wear to school?

    4. Where is Danny’s umbrella?

    Answers: 1. It’s cold and raining.

            2. He likes to wear shorts.

            3. He wears a jacket and shorts.

            4. It’s in his schoolbag.

    Step 9  Reading and acting

    Get the class to read following the recording. Then act it out in pairs.

    Step 10  Exercises

    1. Get the class to finish Let’s Do It! No. 3.

    Answers: 1.are ready for 2. forget 3. catch a cold 4. go well with 

    5. Put on

    2. Get the class to finish Let’s Do It! No. 4.

    Step 11  Summary

    Sum up what we’ve learnt in this period with the class.

    1. be ready for ……做好准备

    4. go back 回去(go back to回到)

    5. put on 穿上(take off 脱下)

    6. go well with……很相配

    7. take…out of …………取出

    Step 12  Language points

      be ready for = get ready for准备去……

      They’re ready for lunch.他们正准备吃午饭。

      Tom is ready for shopping.汤姆准备去购物。

    【拓展】be ready to do sth.准备做某事;乐意做某事

      I’m ready to travel.我准备去旅行。

      The girl is always ready to help others.

    这个女孩总是乐于助人。

    3. Danny goes back and puts on a jacket.丹尼回去穿上了一件夹克。

      (1) go back 回去;返回。go back to + 地点名词  回到某地。

      Some birds go back in spring.一些鸟在春天回去了。

      All the students go back to school in September.

      九月份,所有学生都回到了学校。

      (2) 辨析:put onwear

    put on

    戴上;穿上

    表示动作

    Please put on your gloves.

    请戴上你的手套。

    wear

    戴着;穿着

    表示状态

    Jenny always wears hat.

    詹妮总是戴着帽子。

    4. Your jacket doesn’t go well with your shorts.

      你的夹克与你的短裤很不搭配。

      go well with ……很相配;协调。表示两种物品搭配程度很好。

      Your scarf goes well with your coat.

      你的围巾和你的上衣很相配。

      Green vegetables can go well with seafood.

      绿色蔬菜与海鲜可以很好地搭配。

    5. Don’t forget your umbrella.不要忘了你的雨伞。

      forget vt. 忘记。主要有以下用法:

      forget sth. 忘记某事

      Don’t forget your phone number. 不要忘了你的电话号码。

      forget to do sth.忘记要做某事(事情还未做)

      Don’t forget to call me.别忘了给我打电话。(电话没有打)

      forget doing sth.忘记做过某事(事情已做)

      I forgot closing the door.我忘记已关上门了。

    6. Take them all out of the box!把它们都从箱子里拿出来!
