    Lesson 8: Danny’s Favourite Colour

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握单词:paint, mix, purple, out, sky

    接触单词:rainbow

    短语和句型:How about…? How many colours do you see? 

    look at, come out, in the sky

    2.能力目标

    (1) 能表达自己所喜欢的颜色,并能同他人进行交流;

    (2) 能正确表达数量。

    3.情感目标

    了解自己及他人对颜色的喜好,尊重彼此间的差异。

    重点难点

    1. 重点:掌握课节重点单词、短语、句型。

    2. 难点:能表达自己所喜欢的颜色,并能同他人进行交流。

    教学准备

    PPT 课件;有关不同颜色衣服的图片;相关颜料。

    教学过程

    Step 1  Lead-in

    Review the clothes and colours.

    Show the class some pictures of clothes in different colours and have a conversation.

                      

                               

    A: Hi/Hello, …

    B: Hi/Hello, …

    A: What are your favourite clothes?

    B: My favourite clothes are…

    A: What’s your favourite colour?

    B: My favourite colour is…

    Step 2  Presentation 

    1. Teach the new words paint, rainbow and phrases look at, in the sky and come out by discussing the picture.

    T: Look at the picture. What’s the girl doing?

    Ss: She is painting a rainbow.

    T: Where is the rainbow?

    Ss: It’s in the sky.

    T: When does the rainbow come out?

    Ss: After the rain.

    2. Teach the new words purple, mix and the sentence How many colours do you see? by discussing the picture.

    T: Look at the picture. How many colours does a rainbow have?

    Ss: Seven.

    T: What are they?

    Ss: Red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue, purple.

    T: How to make the colour purple?

    Ss: ...

    T: We can mix red and blue to make purple.

    3. Get the class to remember the new words and the words of colour.

    Step 3  Practice

    Get the class to fill in the missing letters. Then colour the rainbow in the same order of the words.(Let’s Do It! No. 2)

     

    I know the colours of the rainbow.

    They are r____d, or ____ ____ge,

    y____ll____ ____, gr____ ____n,

    bl____ ____, indigo and p____ ____ple.

    Answers: e; an; e, ow; ee; ue; ur

    Step 4  Listening and repeating(Part 2)

    1. Say the poem line by line. Ask the class to listen and repeat each line following the recording.

    2. Say the poem two lines by two lines. Ask the class to listen and repeat.

    3. Say the whole poem together as a class.

    Step 5  Reading and answering

    Get the class to read the poem and answer the following questions.

    1. What’s the poem()about?

    2. How many colours are mentioned(提到)? What are they?

    3. When does the rainbow come out?

    4. Where is the rainbow?

    Answers: 1. A rainbow.

          2. Six. They’re red, orange, blue, green, yellow and purple.

          3. After the rain.

          4. In the sky/ High in the sky.

    Step 6  Chanting

    Play the recording for the class to chant together.

    I am a rainbow.

    I am a rainbow. Look at me.

    How many colours do you see?

    I am red, orange and blue.

    I am green, yellow and purple, too.

    I come out after the rain. High in the sky.

    I am a rainbow. I want to say “Hi !”

    Step 7  Listening and ticking (Part 1)

    Say: Now, Jenny and Danny are painting. What’s Danny’s favourite colour? Listen and tick the correct answer. (Let’s Do It! No. 1)

    blue     red     green     yellow

    Answer: green

    Step 8  Reading and answering

    Get the class to read the conversation and answer the following questions.

    1. What do Jenny and Danny want to do?

    2. What colour does NOT Danny like?

    3. Does Jenny have yellow?

    4. How does Danny make green?

    Answers: 1. They want to paint.

            2. Red.

            3. Yes, she does.

            4. He mixes blue and yellow.

    Step 9  Reading and acting

    Read following the recording. Then read by themselves and act it out in pairs.

    Step 10  Digging in

    1. Say: We can mix two different colours together to make a new colour. Please look at the following examples:

    2. Get the students to complete Let’s Do It! No. 3.

      Colour the paint cans and write the colours.

    Step 11  Practice

    Let’s Do It! No. 4.

    Look at the list of colours in the table below. Can you name some things that are those colours?

    Possible answers:

    Red: national flag of China, red scarf for Young Pioneer

    Step 12  Summary

    Sum up what we’ve learnt in this period with the class.

    1. I don’t like…

    2. Here is/are +名词.

    4. Is…your favourite colour?

    Step 13  Language points

    1. Do you want to paint with me?你想和我一起画画吗?

      paint

     1v. ;绘画。通常指用颜料来画。

      Can you paint?你会画画吗?

     2v. ……涂色。后跟名词或代词作宾语。

      paint sth. +颜色  把某物涂成……颜色

      Let’s paint the door red.咱们把门涂成红色吧。

     3n. 涂料;油漆

    a can of blue paint 一罐蓝色油漆

    2. …but I can mix blue and yellow to make green.

      ……但是我可以把蓝色和黄色混合成绿色。

      mix v. 混合;调配

      mix up混合

    mix…together ……混合起来

      mix…and… = mix…with… …………混合

      Don’t mix them together.不要把它们混合起来。

      Mix white and/with blue to make light blue.

      把白色和蓝色混合成浅蓝色。

    3. Look at me.看看我

      look at...…… 后面须接名词或代词作宾语。

      Look at the blackboard看黑板!

    4. How many colours do you see? 你看到多少种颜色?

      how many多少。后接可数名词的复数形式,用来提问可数名词的数量。

      How many boys can you see in the picture?

      在图上你能看到多少个男孩?

     拓展how much多少。可提问不可数名词的量。

      How much paint do you need? 你需要多少颜料?

    5. I come out after the rain.我在雨后出现。

      come out

    (1)出现

      LookThe sun comes out.!太阳出来了。

    (2)长出,开花

      The flowers come out.花开了。

    (3)出版

      The magazine comes out every month.这杂志每月一版。

    6. High in the sky.高高地挂在天空中。

      sky n. 天空。其前常用定冠词the,也可用于a/an +形容词+sky结构

      in the sky在天空中

      a clear, blue sky晴朗、蔚蓝的天空

      Some kites are in the sky.空中有一些风筝。

    Step 14  Homework
