一、教学目标

2. 掌握本课的重点句型：

A snowstorm hit Beijing on Friday, 5 January.

The snowstorm was terrible. People could only hear the wind and walk slowly in the snow.

3. 能够分析文章结构，学会如何陈述事实性信息。

4. 能够写一篇有关自然灾害的文章。

5. 热爱自然，保护环境。

三、教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up

Guess what it is according to the hints.

【设计意图】通过线索提示猜出snowstorm，调动学生课堂积极性，并顺利引入新课内容。

Step 2 Pre-writing

1. Look at the pictures and get some information about the snowstorm in Beijing.

2. Read Sandy’s notes and answer the questions.

【设计意图】通过了解相关背景再回答问题，帮助学生获取写作中有关陈述事实性的信息。

3. Complete Sandy’s article using her notes.

【设计意图】通过补全短文，帮助学生聚焦核心语言，同时进一步内化语言、信息和结构。

4. Read Sandy’s article and fill in the blanks, then learn the structure and useful expressions.

【设计意图】通过对教材范文的细节分析，引导学生进一步了解细节描写对观点的支撑，同时学习使用过渡词。

Step 3 While-writing

Write about a natural disaster. They can write about the snowstorm in Beijing or they can choose one they know to write.

【设计意图】要求学生使用目标语言并当堂进行英语写作，巩固对目标语言的使用。

Step 4 Post-writing

Share in class and assess their passages together.
【设计意图】班级分享活动为学生提升写作体验，写作成果的分享为学生树立写作自信提供可能.同时，学习同伴的学习资源也是学生学习提升的途径之一。
