一、教学内容分析
本课是五年级下册Module3 Invitation第五课时的“阅读拓展课”。本课所有的语用材料都是结合本单元关于invitation的主题为前提，改编来自广州市小学英语《拓展读与写》五年级下册Module2中level1&2的3篇阅读材料，让学生在听说读写中提升语言的综合运用能力。通过精读Pam准备举行“A swimming pool party”这份邀请函，提高学生阅读能力的同时，让学生学会设计节日活动和撰写邀请函。最后通过感受美国有趣的party文化视频，发动学生讨论人们开展party文化的意义，挖掘主题文化内涵，提升学生文化品格。本课注重学生学科核心素养的培养，从知识结构的学习让学生掌握语言能力，从活动中培养学生的学习能力，从设疑解疑中发展学生思维品质，从话题的感受及自主思考中提升学生的文化品格。
二、教学对象分析
五年级的学生具备一定的英语基础，也具备了一定的听、说、读、写的能力，能通过自主、合作、探究的范式解决问题。设计“六一”节的parties和写邀请也是学生感兴趣的话题。在前面4个课时的学习学生对于invitation这一话题已经积累了一定的语言基础。本课有很多学生合作交流的环节，将不同层次的学生进行合理分工搭配学习，让学生在学习中有更多的互动，从而在整体上照顾学生的整体水平，并体验学习的乐趣。
三、教学设计思路
1、基于话题建构语言
本单元的学会邀请，本课时通过学生喜爱的主题parties进行阅读拓展学习。不同party的内容为主题“邀请”提供多元的素材，除了party的娱乐性质能激发学生的学习兴趣外，party的文化性质还能丰富学生的知识内涵，进一步了解中西文化。文化通过搭建文本框架，启发学生自我设疑、自主解疑、自主发展。学生能运用恰当的语言建构意义性的表达进行输出，进行邀请和回复，语言交际具有真实的意义。
2、基于目标设计活动
本课教学中设计了多层次的语言训练活动。在pre-task中教师设计了What parties do you know?/What do you want to know about the swimming pool party等问题激发学生发散思维，提出问题，带着问题完成学习任务；在帮助学生整体感知文本和获取文本信息的活动中，教师要求学生进行听力练习并解决What can you do at the party?，再进一步细读文本，提取主要信息，完成invitation card，最后引导学生一起归纳总结复现知识结构，层层推进的任务学习帮助学生理解文本的语言内容，并逐渐形成语言输出框架，为学生进行下一个任务的学习提供很好的支撑。在语言输出环节，要求学生自主策划parties，书写邀请函，并开展邀请活动，学生互动交流，融为一体。最后，通过观看有关parties文化的视频，提出When do people have parties?/Why do people have parties?深入挖掘语言知识内涵，升华文化品格。为检测学生的语言理解和学习，教师设计了listen and tick, read and fill the blamks, plan and do, inviting show,enjoy and think ,look and say等语言活动，让学生从感知理解语言到模仿操练语言，再到尝试运用语言，有序的语言教学过程设计体现了语言学习的几本规律，真实体现了语言学习的积累过程。
3、基于体验激活思维
本课时主题围绕party开展，为了让课堂更有气氛，让学生能感知party的文化气息，教师通过精心设计ppt、图片、音乐、视频等，用直观的图片和精彩文化片段激发学生学习兴趣，丰富学生的视觉听觉感受。Parties本身就能给人们带来愉悦，加上教师对学生进行正能量的引导，让学生在感受中外party文化的同时，同步推进语言学习，从而启发学生从自己的兴趣爱好出发，快乐学习，享受生活。教师板书的条理性还为学生提供完整的语言表达逻辑顺序，让学生能借助板书的支架与语义功能，有序思维、有序表达。
四、教学目标
◆ 语言知识：能读懂文本材料，自主学习，理解文本大意，提取语言信息，掌握邀请函书写的几要素；
◆ 语言技能：能用核心句型提出邀请，正确书写邀请函，并作简单的回复；
◆ 语言情感和文化品格：培养学生的人际交往能力，教育学生要懂礼貌，有仪式感，与人和睦相处，快乐生活。

1、采用探究式教学法增强课堂的趣味性，通过猜测、自主思考、归纳总结、小组合作互动等完成本课的学习任务。

2. Read and get more information about the party. T: Now please take out your worksheet and read the invitation by yourself and fill in the blanks.
Check the answer. （边校对边板书，在黑板贴出主要信息，贴成invitation card的样子）
3. Sum-up. Ask the Ps to sum up the “5W”in the invitation. Ask Ps to talk about how to invite friends to the party orally. T: I think it will be a funny party. Now children, can you show us how to write an invitation? We have “5W”, what are they? (边讲边板书，将5W贴在Bb的邀请函的方框里。)
4. Review the form of the invitation and ask Ps try to retell. T: Now can you use this information to make a new invitation? Ask some of the Ps to stick the sentences in the right places.
5.Retell the invitation. T lead the Ps to retell the invitation on the Bb together. （简单复述，不用跟原文一样） | 1. Listen and tick

3. Ps learn how to write the invitation by the key information.
