Key vocabulary:  your science teacher...2. Key sentences: a. What’s her favorite subject?  b. Why does Bob like history?  c. Who’s your music teacher?  d. When is your geography class?教学难点:The usage of w-question.教学过程(表格描述)教学环节主要教学活动设置意图Step 1Lead-in(PPT 4-7)Review the days of a week.2. Talk about the pictures.  A: What subject does he like?B: He likes _____________.A: Why does he like it?B: Because _______________.3. Work in pairs and practice the conversations. 设计复习环节和自由谈话,巩固本单元所学的基本句型,导入本节课的语法。该活动旨在为语法讲解做铺垫,引导学生学习相关语法知识。Step 2Presentation(PPT 8) 1. Show the grammar focus and work on Grammar Focus.2. Ask students to read the sentences in this part and pay attention to the w-question. 总结这些句子的特点并讲解what, who, when, how, why对提问物、时间、人以及原因提问的用法。Step 3Explanation (PPT 9-11)1. Explain rules of the sentences.2. Practice the conversations in Grammar Focus with your partner. 本部分主要讲解Grammar Focus 中的what, who, when, how, why构成疑问句的用法。Step 4Practice (PPT 12-17)Work on 3a. Fill in the blanks with what, who or why. Choose two pictures and make your own conversations.Work on 3b. Write questions for the answers.Work on 3c. Interview three classmates and complete the chart. Then tell your group about the results. 通过填表、回答问题、小组合作编对话练习本课时w-question的用法。Step 5 Language points (PPT 18-22)Explain the sentences: what-question, who-question, when-question, how-question, why-question此处设计主要讲解用法以及疑问词有what, who, when, how, why用法。Step 6    Exercises (PPT 23-25)Do some exercises to practice the w-question. 通过w-question填词、单选、用方框中单词的适当形式填空等形式练习所学的语法。Step 7Summary (PPT 26)Answer the questions:Who are you?What’s your favorite subject?Why do you like it?When is your...class?Which day do you like best? Why?通过学生总结所学的what, when, who, why, which的用法,培养他们的口语表达能力。Step 8 中考链接 (PPT 27)Choose the exercise to practice the usage of who.此处练习特殊疑问词who的用法。Step 9Homework(PPT 28)Think and write down your favorite things and reason. How many things can you think out? 设计该作业主要练习, what, when, who, why疑问句对物、时间、人以及原因提问的用法,以达到对本单元所学语法的综合运用的教学目的。板书设计Unit 9 My favorite subject is science.Section A (Grammar Focus-3c)1.Target Language:  your science teacher.2.
