On the basis of the language learned in this unit, students can describe the interpersonal problems they have encountered in the process of growing up, and express their emotional changes and understanding of emotional management. | ||||||

学情分析及学习方法 | The lead-in activities before reading guide students to discuss the issues that they pay more attention to in interpersonal communication, so as to bring out the topic and pave the way for the study of the text; Reading activities mainly test students' ability to grasp the content of the text and to sort out the context of the article. 教学 过程 | Step 1. T asks Ss to read through the passage, focusing on the pictures, addresses, signatures and compare the two letters.
Step 2. T guides Ss to predict what suggestions would be given in Agony Aunt’s letter.
Step 3. T asks Ss to share their opinions about Ben’s problem and Agony Aunt’s suggestions.
Step 4. Think & Share
2. T asks Ss to share their opinions about “Loose lips sink ships”.
Step 5. T asks Ss to put words and expressions discussed them in groups according to the context. | Ss realise the relations between the two letters and can locate in the certain part of the passage to fill in blanks of Ben’s problems on page 4. Ss pick out three suggestions mentioned in the part and fill in blanks of Agony Aunt’s suggestions.
Ss share with others their understanding of the passage and finish exercise 3.
