设计说明 首先通过询问同学们的爱好导入新课。接着,利用图片和例句学习本课节的词汇,并跟读练习。之后,通过分段落阅读并回答问题、阅读找短语并翻译等一系列活动学习本课的内容,进一步巩固所学内容;同时讲解不定冠词a,an和定冠词the的用法。然后,通过小组活动,让同学们互相采访个人的爱好,并进行课堂展示。最后,讲解本课中的重要知识点。本课节先通过词汇的教学为后面的学习扫清障碍,再分段落和层次展开对课文的学习,最后,通过当堂达标的习题检测学生的掌握情况。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:common 接触单词:spin, performance 掌握短语:up and down, parking lot, put… on its side, go through 2.能力目标 (1)掌握本课重点单词、短语和句子; (2)能用英语介绍自己的爱好。 3.情感目标 敢于展示和表达。 重点难点 1.重点:掌握本课重点单词、短语和句子; 2.难点:能用英语介绍自己的爱好。 教学准备 PPT 课件;本课节用到的录音。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Have a free talk. 1. Ask students some questions about their hobbies. Ask them to answer and show some pictures to help them. Questions: What’s your hobby? Would you like to tell us about it?
2. Show the pictures of Steven’s and Danny’s hobbies. Ask students to guess what’s their hobbies. Step 2 Presentation 1. Teach the new words spin, performance, common and phrases up and down, parking lot, put…on its side, go through by using the pictures and making sentences.
2. Read the new words at least three times and try to remember them. spin v. (使)快速旋转 performance n. 表演,演出 common adj. 普通的,一般的 Step 3 Reading 1. Get the class to read the first two paragraphs and answer the questions. (1) What are the students doing today? (2) What’s Brian’s hobby? (3) What’s Steven’s hobby? (4) How many hobbies are mentioned? What are they? Answers: (1) They are showing their hobbies to their classmates. (2) Collecting stamps. (3) He likes playing with his yo-yo. (4) Seven. They are collecting stamps, playing with yo-yo, riddles, chess, reading, model trains and model rackets. 2. Get the class to read the paragraphs left and answer the questions. (1) Where is Danny’s hobby? (2) Can they put his box on its side? (3) Where does Danny show his hobby to the classmates? Why? (4) What’s in Danny’s box? (5) Danny says he has two hobbies. What are they? (6) Are the classmates interested in Danny’s hobby? Answers: (1) It’s in a big box in the parking lot. (2) No, they can’t. (3) In the parking lot. Because his box is too tall and it can’t go through the door. (4) It’s his family tree. (5) Learning about his family and gardening. (6) Yes, they are. 3. Play the recording of the lesson and let students read after it. Pay attention to the usage of a, an and the. 4.Explain the usage of a, an and the. a, an表泛指“一(个)”, 用于单数可数名词前,其中, a用于读音以辅音音素开头的单词前,an用于读音以元音音素开头的单词前。 the表特指,通常用于双方都知道的或上文提及的事物前, 还可用于最高级、序数词及世界上独一无二的事物前。 5.Let students practice the usage of a, an and the with the following exercise (Let’s Do It! No. 2). Today Danny’s class had _________ hobby show. Brian brought his stamp collection. He had four books full of stamps! Steven showed _________ class his yo-yo. He is _________ good performer. Danny’s hobby was in ________ big box in the parking lot. But _________ box was too tall! So the teacher asked _________ class to come to the parking lot. Danny took his hobby out of _________ box. It was his family tree! It’s _________ interesting hobby. Most people draw their family trees. They don’t plant them! Answers: a, the, a, a, the, the, the, an 6. Get the class to read the lesson again and find the following expressions. Interview some of their classmates or family members about their collections. They can use the following tips to help them. (Let’s Do It! No. 3) Task tips: • Do you know any collectors? (Many people like to collect stamps, postcards, sports cards, etc. Those people are called collectors.) • What do they collect? • When did they begin their collections? • What do they love most about collecting? 2. Ask some students to show and introduce their collections. For example: Step 5 Language points 1.He has four books full of stamps.他有满满的四本集邮册。 full of stamps 作books 的后置定语。 be full of = be filled with 充满,装满 fill ...with 用……把……装满 The room is full of books.房间里满满都是书。 =The room is filled with books. Please fill the bottle with milk.请把这个瓶子里装满牛奶。 The future is full of hope.前途大有希望。 2.Finally, it’s Danny’s turn.最后,轮到丹尼了。 It’s one’s turn (to do sth. ) 轮到某人(做某事)。 【注意】提问“轮到谁做某事”时,用whose。 It’s my turn to show the hobby. 轮到我展示爱好了。 It’s Mary’s turn to sing. 轮到玛丽唱歌了。 Whose turn is it to be on duty? 轮到谁值日了? 【拓展】turn的其他用法: ① take turns doing/ to do sth. 轮流做某事 ② turn+颜色 变成……色 turn yellow ③ turn on/off/up/down 打开/关掉/开大/关小 ④ turn left/right 向左/右拐 3. Then it will go through the door. 那样它就会通过门了。 go through 穿过 辨析:through, across, past 与over ① through 强调从物体的内部空间“穿过”,它强调立体范围,有in的意味。 ② across强调从物体的表面“横过”,有on的意味。 ③ past强调从物体的旁边、附近“过去”,有by、near的意味。 ④ over强调从物体的上方“翻越、飞跃”而过。 It took me three hours to walk through the forest. 我花费了3个小时穿过这片森林。 He quickly went across the road. 他迅速穿过了马路。 He walked past me just now. 他刚才从我身边经过。 He jumped over the wall and ran away. 他翻墙逃跑了。 Step 6 Homework 1.
