Mst peple think martial arts(武术) are all abut kicking, punching(用拳打) and fighting. But China's taijiquan, als knwn as tai chi, is the ther way arund. It is slw, calm, and peaceful.
UNESCO(联合国教科文组织) recently added tai chi t its Intangible Cultural Heritage List(非物质文化遗产名录). Althugh tai chi is an ancient martial art, it is still quite ppular tday. It has ver 100 millin fans in mre than 150 cuntries.
Peple d tai chi as a way t stay fit. Unlike ther exercise, it is “sft”—the muscles are relaxing, the jints(关节) are nt fully bent(弯曲的), and yu dn't need t stretch(拉伸) t much. This means many can d it.
