设计说明 首先,通过谈论未来的职业导入新课。接着,展示图片,通过讨论图片来教授本课节生词和短语。然后,由听课文内容回答其主要意思进入对本课节的学习。通过读后回答问题、读后找短语并翻译等学习课文;再通过思维导图复述课文,加深对课文的理解和对所学知识点的运用。最后,处理剩余的练习题。在整个教学过程中,先听后读,以读为主,听读都设有阅读任务,体现了任务型教学。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:fisherman, policewoman, artist, choice, strict, punish 接触单词:ambition, path 2.能力目标 (1)掌握有关表示职业的名词或表达; (2)能描述或询问他人未来可能从事的职业。 3.情感目标 了解自己,明确自己未来的职业。 重点难点 1.重点:本课节重点单词、短语、句型。 2.难点: (1)掌握有关表示职业的名词或表达; (2)描述或询问他人未来可能从事的职业。 教学准备 PPT 课件;与本课节相关的音频。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Free talk. Talk about the future jobs. The teacher says and asks: What are you going to be when you are older? Why do you want to be a/an...? Before we choose the jobs, we must know ourselves. Do you know yourself ? We all know there’re many paths for the dreams, but choosing the right path is very important. Note: path /pɑːθ/ n. 途径;小路 Step 2 Presentation 1. Teach the new words fisherman, policewoman and artist using pictures by talking about the jobs.
fisherman /ˈfɪʃəmən/ policewoman/pəˈliːswʊmən/ artist /ˈɑːtɪst/ n. 渔夫,渔民 n. 女警察 n. 艺术家;(尤指)画家 Talk about the jobs between the teacher and students like this: There are many jobs, and you can choose some of them. Now let’s learn some jobs. Look at the man. What does he do? He is a fisherman. What is the woman? She is a policewoman. And look at the picture. What is he doing? He is painting. He is an artist. 2. Teach the new words strict, punish, choice and the expression be strict with sb. using pictures by discussing the job—teacher.
a teacher Discuss like this: I’m a teacher. I’m strict with my students, but I don’t punish them. There are lots of jobs, such as fisherman, policewoman, artist, teacher, manager. You have lots of choices. 3.Teach the new word ambition by the sentence: Everyone is full of ambition, but not everyone has the right path for their dreams.
4. Get the class to read the new words and the expression and remember them. Step 3 Listening and answering Get the class to listen to the recording of the e-mail and answer the following question. What is the e-mail about? Answers: The future./ Ambitions and dreams. Step 4 Reading Get the class to read the lesson and answer the questions. 1. What’s the main thing to think about when you choose a job? 2. Why does Li Ming hope to be a teacher like Ms. Liu? 3. How many kinds of jobs can we find in the e-mail? What are they? 4. What is Danny good at? Answers: 1. The main thing is to know yourself and to choose the right path for you. 2. Because Ms. Liu is strict but nice. She encourages the students to work hard but never punishes them. Her classes are fun! 3. Five. They’re fisherman, policeman/policewoman, artist, teacher, basketball player. 4. He is good at playing basketball. Step 5 Reading and translating Get the class to read the whole e-mail and find the following phrases. Then translate them into Chinese. talk about 谈论 have no idea不知道 know yourself了解你自己 choose the right path选择正确的途径 be going to do sth. 打算做某事 be good at 擅长 Step 6 Reading and retelling 1. Get the class to read the e-mail. 2. Get the class to retell the e-mail according to the mind map. Step 7 Exercises 1. Listen to the dialogues and put the pictures in the correct order. Then write the job words under the pictures. (Let’s Do It! No.2)
