    设计说明

    本单元主要复习which/who引导的定语从句的用法。通过观察句子,分析其结构和意义,归纳定语从句的用法。并通过选词填空、完成句子、谈论图片、完成表格、结对训练等,提高对单词、短语、句型、语法等知识的实际运用能力,巩固定语从句的用法,运用与谈论照片相关的知识。

    教学目标

    通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1. 知识目标

    (1)复习本模块的重点单词、短语及句型。

    (2)复习巩固which/who引导的定语从句的用法。

    2. 能力目标

    (1)能描述一幅照片或照片背后所隐藏的故事。

    (2)能写有关照片的作文。

    3. 情感目标

    通过描述照片内容,培养认真观察、关注细节和发散思维的能力。

    Step 1  Language practice

    1Read the sentences as a class.

    2Tell them that the sentences dont give them enough information without the part in bold.

    He’s the boy who won the photo competition last year!

    The photo which we liked best in the City and People group was taken by Zhao Min.

    A group of photos which show Beijing and Cambridge in England has won the prize.

    whichwho引导的定语从句

    一、which 引导定语从句

    The photo which we liked best was taken by Zhao Min.

    我们最喜欢的照片是赵敏拍的。

    A group of photos which show Beijing and Cambridge in England has won the prize for the subject Home and Away.

    一组展示北京和英国剑桥的照片赢得了“故土与他乡”这一主题的奖项。

    二、who引导定语从句

    He’s the boy who won the photo competition last year.

    他是赢得去年摄影比赛的那个男生。

    I took some photos of the soldiers who I met in the army.

    我给在部队里遇到的战士们拍了一些照片。

    三、定语从句中引导词的省略

    1. 不管定语从句修饰的是人还是物,如果引导词在从句中作宾语,通常就可以省略。

    Did you go to the talk that/whichthe famous scientist gave at your school?你去听那位著名科学家在你们学校做的演讲了吗?

    A friend is a person who/whomyou know very well and like.

    朋友是你十分了解并且喜欢的人。

    2. 引导词在从句中作主语时就不能省略,否则会造成结构混乱。

    I’d love to have parents who understand me.

    我希望父母理解我。

    He can make lessons that are usually boring interesting.

    他通常能把枯燥乏味的课讲得生动有趣。

    【注意】口语中,在定语从句中作宾语的引导词往往被省略,但在正式文体中常常被保留。

    Step 3  Doing some exercises

    1. Complete the poster for the photo competition. Use that, which or who. There may be more than one answer.

    Photo competition

    Send us your photos and win a new camera!

    4. Work in pairs. Look around the class and describe someone or something to your partner. Can your partner guess who or what you are describing?

    1Tell students to read the example sentences and choose two things or people in the classroom to describe to a partner.

    2Tell them to work in pairs to take turns describing and guessing.

    5. Complete the conversation with the expressions in the box.

    1. Choose your favourite photo and describe it.

    Choose the photo you like best.

    Write a passage or story about it. Say what/who is in the photo, and why it is important to you.

    2. Work in groups. Talk about your photo. Use the passage or story you have written in Activity 8 to help you.

    Show the group your photo. Tell them why you like it, and why it is important.

    Answer questions your group may have.

    Listen to the other members of your group talk about their photos.

    3. Show your photos from the group to the whole class and talk about them.
